2010 Buick LaCrosse Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Even at night, drivers are rewarded with an ice blue ambient lighting package that creates the same effect as chrome during the day. The second row offers as much room as the front (there is 41.7 inches of leg room up front while there is 40.5 inches in the back). A key requirement for a large sedan is to fit five adults, and the LaCrosse can do so easily. Buick also added lots of luxury features selective consumers expect: Bluetooth hands-free phone operation, dual climate zones, heated outside mirrors, push button start, dual stage front and side-impact air bags, as well as side-curtain air... |

2010 Buick LaCrosse Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...I learned to open the doors with two fingers instead of four, but never got used to it. Like the 2010 Ford Taurus, the LaCrosse's high style sacrifices side and rear visibility due to thick B- and C-pillars and slimmer window openings. Thankfully, the side-view mirrors are large enough to compensate, but this is an annoying design compromise that's becoming more commonplace on newer cars. The same posh refinement pulses through the LaCrosse's suspension, steering, and pedals. Only a tiny fraction of bumps, ruts, and uneven pavement get through to your backside, yet the LaCrosse hunkers down... |

2010 Buick LaCrosse Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Outside, the CXS makes a statement, but it isn't so polarizing as to offend anyone. There isn't much of a sense of family with other Buick products, but that's fine. Build quality - it's made in Kansas City - was top-notch. Options on the test car, including a navigation system, a backup camera and a sunroof, raised the price to a still-reasonable $37,880. The 3.6-liter V-6, best known for its installation in many Cadillac products, can't be faulted, and the six-speed automatic transmission was nicely matched to the engine's power delivery. The EPA rates mileage at 17 mpg city, 27 mpg... |

2010 Buick LaCrosse Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Under hard braking, the car's nose dives excessively. The Inside Like the pricier CTS sedan from sister brand Cadillac, the LaCrosse's dashboard is trimmed in a leather-like material with stitched seams and padded finishes. Ambient lighting pipes across the dashboard at night, and the woven headliner material extends down the window pillars. These are small details, but they go a long way toward convincing those with sticker shock that Buick's midsize sedan's price premium is deserved. It's just north of a well-equipped Chevy Malibu, but still well south of the base CTS. Options include a... |

2010 Buick LaCrosse Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...In short, starting at $33,015, it beats any comparably priced car from BMW, Lexus or Infiniti in terms of overall value, quality, comfort, safety and performance. Please don't argue with me on this point until you've driven all of the cited brands side by side. Then let's talk. What especially pleases me about the new GM is its increasing attention to detail, as evidenced by the suspension innovation on the new CXS. The value of HiPer Strut (High Performance Strut), a front-suspension component, is best described by what it prevents the driver from feeling. That sudden, jerky twisting of the... |

2010 Buick LaCrosse Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The center control panel is far less busy and more ergonomic than the jumble of controls you get with the optional navigation system . Unfortunately, one reason for the reduced clutter is the deletion of buttons for the heated and ventilated front seats that came with the leather in our previous test car. The cloth seats sacrifice the feature. Rolling Ding Factory I noticed another anomaly that didn't stand out in previous tests: a flawed interior handle design. Doors usually have an unlatch handle and a separate grab handle nearby for closing the door. The LaCrosse's grab handle is tucked... |

The 2010 Buick LaCrosse sits in a no-man’s land of pricing, performance, and luxury specification, straddling the gap between high-end mainstream and entry-level luxury.
Like the LaCrosse, the Lexus ES offers ample room and a comfortable ride, but lacks some of the higher technology elements.
The Infiniti M sits a bit further up-market than the LaCrosse, but offers similar performance and equipment in the V-6 models.
Acura’s TL is another mid-luxury fence-sitter, offering many of the same advantages and disadvantages of the LaCrosse, but with a much younger, more abrasive styling direction.
The Hyundai Genesis, aside from being the 2009 North American Car of the Year, offers tremendous value and a similar size and feature list to the new LaCrosse.
