2011 Bentley Mulsanne Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Bentley says it adopted a traditional tanning process this year for the Mulsanne's leather to evoke the smell of vintage cowhides. Running across the dashboard and doors is a continuous band of wood trim, which the automaker says takes two weeks to refine from raw material to polished veneers. Audiophiles can get an optional premium stereo crafted by British audio company Naim. Other cabin features include quad-zone climate control and power-adjustable front and rear seats. Unlike Rolls-Royce's rear-opening backseat doors, the Mulsanne has traditional front-opening doors. Should buyers wish... |

2011 bentley mulsanne Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...Safety: Safety features for the 2011 Bentley Mulsanne include front and rear side airbags for the head and thorax, stability control, traction control, antilock disc brakes with brake assist and automatic hill hold. Interior Design and Special Features: While other manufacturers tout "attention to detail," Bentley treats the 2011 Mulsanne's cabin with more of an "obsession with detail." Nearly every surface is covered in leather; it even lines the trunk. And this is not just any leather. Bentley reverted to the old style of tanning that yields an exquisitely supple feel and a more pleasant... |

2011 Bentley Mulsanne OverviewSource: CarGurus...Name it, pay for it, and it’s yours. For the audio systems and other interior tech, Bentley decided to head in the opposite direction of heritage, making a 2,200-watt surround-sound Naim Audio system an option for the Mulsanne. They claim it’s the most powerful production audio system ever made available, and it certainly sounds like it. You’ll also get a 40GB media and nav system with an 8-inch screen hidden behind a powered leather veneer as well as a leather-lined drawer for your iPod. The tech systems are said to be a monumental improvement over the outgoing examples as well, a... |

The only real competitor to the hyper-luxurious Mulsanne is the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
The Mulsanne's more fluid, modern design will appeal to some where the more staid, classical design of the Phantom will find favor with others.
Both are exquisitely luxurious, but the Mulsanne is by far the more powerful of the two, despite the Phantom's V-12 engine. It's hard to recommend either over the other, however, as both are excellent vehicles, well-designed and well-made.
They simply appeal to different types of people--a matter of personal preference.
