2010 acura rdx Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...Notably, the SH-AWD system distributes power not only between the front and rear axles, but also between the left and right wheels, ensuring optimal traction in all conditions. In performance testing, we clocked an all-wheel-drive RDX at 6.8 seconds from zero to 60 mph, one of the quickest times among compact luxury crossovers. Fuel economy is below average, however, with EPA estimates of 19 mpg city/24 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models, and 17/22/19 for the SH-AWD. Safety: Every 2010 Acura RDX comes standard with antilock brakes (with brake assist), stability... |

2010 Acura RDX Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...My test car was equipped with the Technology Package, which includes a navigation system, dual-zone automatic climate control and a great 10-speaker audio system with XM Satellite Radio. The USB interface let me navigate my iPod's music through the stereo's controls. The navigation system was easy to use, either with the central control knob or voice control. The AcuraLink system put traffic and weather information right on the screen. Once I set it up the Bluetooth connection, it worked perfectly. Connecting my cell phone was a long process, but definitely worth it since I live in a... |

2010 Acura RDX Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The ride isn't uncomfortably firm, like in the X3 and XC60, but don't expect the RDX to feel cushy, either; you will feel bumps. The Lexus and Land Rover might be more comfortable companions. Conventional wisdom suggests that crossover shoppers will prefer the all-wheel-drive model, given buyers considering this body style — as opposed to luxury sedans of the same price — are probably expecting it, along with added cargo room. Mileage is decent for the front-wheel-drive model, with EPA-estimated gas mileage of 19/24 mpg city/highway. It drops to 17/22 mpg in all-wheel-drive versions... |

Shoppers are still moving toward smaller SUVs, but sporty, luxurious ones like the 2010 Acura RDX are especially rising in popularity.
The BMW X3 was one of the first entries in the niche, but its substandard interior (at least initially) and rough ride keep TheCarConnection.com from recommending it.
Infiniti's EX35 is a blast to drive with none of the turbo lag, but its fuel economy is worse than that of the RDX.
Land Rover's LR2 feels plusher than the RDX, with the LR2 owning a bit of off-road edge.
VW's Tiguan also has a turbo four, but somehow it's a lot easier to live with.
The Mercedes-Benz GLK is another new entry in this group-it sizes up with the rest but manages to feel a bit more mature and refined; for now, it's only offered with a big V-6.
The Audi Q5 is another new entry set to come out late in the 2010 model year.
