2001 acura mdx Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...creating an interior that can be easily reconfigured from seven-passenger hauler (though we wouldn't recommend adults trying to cram in the third row) to a flat-floor Home Depot runner in a matter of seconds. Large, flowing shapes dominate the instrument panel and center console, which is highlighted by wood-grained trim. The MDX comes with a comprehensive list of standard equipment, including leather seating surfaces (on first- and second-row seating), eight-way power and heated front seats, side airbags for front passengers, keyless entry, power moonroof, automatic climate control and a... |

2001 Acura MDXSource: MSN Autos...The MDX's 82 cubic feet of cargo space—available with both rows of back seats folded flat—can accommodate 4-foot-wide sheets of plywood or more than a dozen big bags of mulch or a boxed, 32-inch television set. Just watch that as you load and unload items in back, that you don't stand in front of the MDX tailpipe, which releases very hot exhaust gases from under the back bumper. Front- to 4-wheel drive In most situations, only the front wheels power the MDX. This mode helps contribute to the 20 mpg fuel economy rating. Drivers do nothing to activate the all-wheel-drive system, which Acura... |

2001 Acura MDX Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...NUTS & BOLTS 2001 Acura MDX Complaints: More a question than a complaint. I just wonder where all of this plushing-out of trucks and truck-like cars and wagons is going to end. Praise: Acura has done it again ? put together a high-quality, content-packed mobile at a very competitive price. The people at Lexus might want to rethink their pricing of the RX300, and the folks at Daimler-Benz AG might want to consider a similar course of action for their ML 320. Ride, acceleration and handling: Triple aces. No complaints. But that does not mean you can get silly with this one and start tossing it... |

2001 Acura MDX OverviewSource: CarGurus...can help hide the dirt brought in by those occupying the rear seats. The standard engine is a 3.5-liter V6 rated at 240 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque. Don't like that engine? Too bad....it's all there was. Mileage is fairly good for a larger SUV, with 17 city and 23 highway. The navigation system was very advanced for 2001, but wouldn't be quite so impressive now.I test drove this car in 2001 and would have driven off the lot with one if not for a bad salesman. Reviews of it are generally positive, although many are quick to point out that the 2001 MDX is built on the Honda Odyssey... |

2001 Acura MDX Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Exterior Styled in California, the MDX has sloping rear roof pillars like the ones on the Lexus RX 300 but creates its own look with bold creases in the hood and along the body sides. The grille is similar to those on Acura?s sedans. The standard wheels and tires are 17 inches in diameter. Interior The seven-passenger MDX has three rows of seats with two front buckets, a three-place split middle bench and a two-place split rear seat. The middle and rear seats fold flat into the floor to create enough space to carry two mountain bikes or a 6-foot ladder. Standard equipment includes leather... |
