While the Abarth 124 Spider took the spotlight on Fiat's stand at this week's 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the 500 received a little love too.

Fiat showed off in Geneva its 500S, a sportier-looking version of the updated 500. The model—which won't have any significant performance advantages over the base 500—sports the refreshed version's grille and swept fog lights in the front, along with special bumpers, side skirts and a rear spoiler reserved for the 500S only. The 500S will come in two flavors, seen here, Electronica Blue and a matte Green, with 15-inch alloys as standard, or 16-inch rollers in matte diamond black.

Inside, the 500S sports a slightly upgraded interior with yellow, white, or blue accents on black buckets (cloth or hides) with interior accents all the way around. Like the upgraded version we saw last July, the 500S will sport the same upgraded tech that includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen in the middle, fully configurable TFT display for the driver and an available 440-watt Beats by Dre audio system.

The 500S will go on sale in Europe this summer, but the stuffed shirts at Fiat USA won't confirm whether the 500S is headed for the States. It should, though, most likely as a trim level when the refreshed 500 is made available later this fall.
