It was at the start of the month that McLaren unveiled the convertible version of its hardcore 675LT supercar. Incredibly, McLaren managed to sell all 500 build slots in the space of only two weeks--despite the 675LT Spider costing a staggering $372,600.

In the video, ex-Formula One driver Bruno Senna takes the car for a spin, first on a track and then on some scenic roads. The nephew of the legendary Ayrton Senna currently serves as a development driver for McLaren and comes away quite impressed with the firm’s latest creation.

That’s not surprising at all given some of the car’s specs. For example, it will accelerate to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, reach 124 mph in 8.1 seconds and keep going until it maxes out somewhere around 203 mph. Note, the coupe is a tick faster thanks to a more aerodynamically optimized body.

McLaren says the first 675LT Spiders will be be delivered next summer. The world debut takes place at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show next March. For more coverage on the event, head to our dedicated hub.
