Earlier today we brought you an official teaser for Bugatti's new supercar, the Chiron, which is set to make its world debut next March at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Now we have a video showing two prototypes. The video comes to us from YouTube user Tim Wolke and looks to have been filmed at an industrial area located just outside the Nürburgring race track in Germany.

CHECK OUT: Bugatti Chiron Teased Ahead Of 2016 Geneva Motor Show Debut

The two prototypes are barely disguised but what's most interesting is that they are seen testing in a fleet that includes a BMW i8, Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4, Porsche 918 Spyder and one of Bugatti's own Veyron Super Sports. It's clear the level of performance Bugatti is targeting for its Chiron and the fact that two of the rivals are hybrids reinforces the claims that the new car will come with some form of electrification.

It's thought that the Chiron will be equipped with an uprated version of the Veyron’s quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16, likely with direct fuel injection, cylinder deactivation and electric-aided turbos. However, it’s possible Bugatti will offer two levels of performance this time around. Some readers will recall that former Volkswagen Group CEO Martin Winterkorn hinted earlier in the year that a hybrid system will be reserved for a high-performance variant, with the standard model to be powered exclusively by an internal combustion engine.

Bugatti has already been showing the car privately to potential customers and claims to have already racked up more than 100 orders. That's not a bad deal considering the expected price tag is somewhere around 2.2 million euros (approximately $2.4 million). Just 500 are planned for production including both the coupe and eventual open-top version, the latter of which is thought to be getting a targa-like t-top roof.

Stay tuned for the Bugatti Chiron's debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, which gets underway March 1. In the meantime, you can learn about other cars appearing at the event via our dedicated hub.
