We now have one of the first videos of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 running down the quarter mile, and it’s every bit as epic as you’d expect for a 650-horsepower, rear-wheel-drive rocket like the latest Z06. The video comes to us by way of HorsepowerPhotos, and it shows the driver of the Z06 first warming up the tires with a quick burnout and then proceeding to run down the quarter mile.

His time was a reasonable 11.7 seconds at 120.5 mph, which isn’t bad considering this was a manual-equipped car but still a bit off the official times. Chevy’s quotes a time of 11.2 seconds with the manual and an incredible 10.95 seconds with the new eight-speed automatic. Admittedly, there looks to be a lot of wheelspin in this video.

Now that the Z06 is being delivered to eagerly awaiting customers all across the country, hopefully we’ll see some quicker times posted soon.
