Continuing its tradition of enhanced Chrysler Group vehicles, Mopar has rolled out a new one for the 2014 model year, the Mopar ’14 Challenger. The car made its debut today at the SEMA show taking place in Las Vegas, and will be available for order in March. Pricing will be announced closer to the sales launch and only 100 examples will be built.

This is the fifth special edition created by the Mopar brand, with the first, launched in 2010, also based on the Challenger. It was followed by the ’11 Charger, ’12 300, ’13 Dart and now this latest ’14 Challenger. Unlike the previous cars, which were all finished in black, the latest one gets a white finish (black will also be available, though).

It’s based on a 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T which has been equipped with the automaker’s new Shaker and Scat packages, both of which were also launched at SEMA today. The Shaker package adds a satin black hood scoop that stands out with its raised profile and Shaker logo reverberating while the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 is running.

No change has been made to output, so peak figures for the Challenger R/T Shaker remain 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque (372 and 400, respectively, for automatic models). But buyers do receive 20-inch aluminum wheels with a glossy black finish and Mopar center caps, a custom grille surround, black fuel-filler cap, black badging and a subtle deck-lid spoiler.

The interior also gets a few special touches such as performance front seats, Nappa leather trim, Mopar logos and a sport steering wheel. A numbered plaque in the instrument cluster and a custom owner’s kit round out the unique touches.

Of course, this being a Mopar special edition, there are plenty of upgrade options all available through the Mopar catalog. Just some of the items are a short-throw shifter, cat-back exhaust, performance suspension, lowered springs, a hood pin kit, wheel locks and a chrome exhaust tip.

There’s much, much more on show at SEMA this week. To access our complete coverage of the event, click here.
