Jaguar is jumping on the personalization bandwagon by announcing new styling packages for its as yet unreleased F-Type sports car. The styling packages fall under the new Design and Black packs being released for the F-Type, and feature custom appointments for both the car’s exterior and cabin.

Jaguar used this week’s 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show to announce the F-Type styling packages, which it previewed with a 2014 F-Type S finished in bright Firesand paint. The F-Type S is the mid-range model, coming with a 380-horsepower supercharged V-6.

Firesand is just one of numerous special-order paint finishes Jaguar will be offering for the F-Type, which customers will be able to order, for a premium.

For the exterior, the Design and Black packs see the splitter, side sills and rear diffuser all match the body color, while elements in the grille, vents, front splitter and rear valance get a satin black finish.

For the interior, Jaguar has only applied its Black pack, which adds some black trim to the steering wheel, air vents and door switch surrounds, while the rings of the instrument cluster get their own glossy black finish.

Handling much of the custom work is Jaguar’s Engineered To Order (ETO) division, a semi-independent group also responsible for limited production models such as the XKR-S and new XFR-S.

The 2014 Jaguar F-Type range goes on sale next May, with prices starting from $69,000.
