It’s hard to believe that not even three months have passed since the 2013 SRT Viper made its debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show.

Since then the car has been featured in literally thousands of magazines and websites around the world, and now it has made an appearance on Jay Leno’s Garage.

Being the Viper fan that he is, television host and comedian Jay Leno does little to hide his enthusiasm. After all, with the new Viper packing an 8.4-liter V-10 engine delivering 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels in a chassis that weighs less than 3,300 pounds, who could blame him.

While most of the new Viper's specs have already been revealed, we do get some interesting insights from the car’s primary designer Mark Trostle and SRT spokesperson Beth Paretta. One interesting tidbit revealed in the short clip is the car’s pricing. Though yet to be finalized, Paretta mentions that pricing will start above $110k, most likely referring to the higher-spec Viper GTS shown in the video, which means we could still see a sub-$100k sticker for the bare bones Viper model.

Unfortunately, this being a pre-production pilot model, Leno wasn't able to take it out for a spin.
