It’s hard to believe it has now been five years since we first laid eyes upon the Pagani Huayra. Back then, the car’s twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 and all 700 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque that came with it seemed out of this world. Now, such power barely cuts the mustard in the rarefied world of hypercars.

Pagani is working on a more extreme version of its Huayra, though. The car is called the Huayra BC, and it is set for a world debut this March at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. A completely undisguised version has just been spotted, as evidenced by these photos posted to Instagram by carsandtrees.

The photos below reveal a few new details. Compared to the regular Huayra, the BC—we don’t know what it stands for but we’re guessing the answer isn’t Before Christ—has a new, more aggressive front splitter, new air vents atop the front wheel arches, an extra-wide rear diffuser, and an oversized and somewhat odd-looking rear spoiler.

It’s clear the modifications are aimed at improving lap times, though the BC is still a road car. It’s likely we’ll see a track-only version akin to Pagani’s previous Zonda R at some point, and this should also have its own road-going "RS" version. Another new Huayra is the long-awaited Huayra Roadster, which we’re told is still coming.

We’ll have all the details soon as the Geneva Motor Show starts March 1. In the meantime, learn about some of the other vehicles appearing at the show by visiting our dedicated hub.
