Cadillac’s highly-anticipated 3-Series rival, the all-new 2013 ATS sedan, is quickly approaching its showroom debut, and in the lead up an online configurator for the car has just been launched.

The configurator is fairly simple to use and lets you choose from the three different engines that will be offered at launch, a base 2.5-liter, mid-range 2.0-liter turbo and range-topping 3.6-liter V-6, as well as either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive layouts.

The next step is deciding what wheel and color combinations you’ll like, and then it’s time to select all your preferred options.

The list of options isn't too long, which we like to see. Some of the highlights are a power sunroof, bucket seats and the CUE interface system.

Strangely, Cadillac hasn't listed pricing details on the configurator, although the automaker has previously announced that the 2013 ATS range will start at $33,990 (including destination). This entry-level pricing gets you the 202-horsepower 2.5-liter model with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The fun starts when you opt for the 2.0-liter turbo, which is rated at 270 horsepower and will set you back at least $35,795. For those looking for the most power, at least until the rumored ATS-V arrives, Cadillac’s ATS equipped with the 3.6-liter V-6 comes with 320 horsepower on tap, although it’s quite pricey at $42,090.

Look for an updated configurator with full details on package and option pricing to be published closer to the 2013 Cadillac ATS’ release this summer.
