Following on from the striking GQbyCitroen concept car shown earlier this year, French automaker Citroen has unveiled a brand new concept car designed for the lifestyle-oriented car segment. The latest concept was developed in partnership with the fashion label Lacoste and has been designed to provide "leisure and pleasure".

The new car is the 2010 Citroen Lacoste Concept and it’s set to make its world debut next week at the 2010 Paris Auto Show.

Some unique features include the sculpted front end, rounded rear and concave rear windscreen. The cabin is accessed by the open-style doorways and is spacious, comfortable and very futuristic. It features a high waistline, bulging and textured wings, minimum overhangs front and rear, and golf ball-style alloy wheels, placed in the furthest corners of the body.

Access to the rear seats is easy, with passengers simply jumping onto the rear bench. For transporting luggage or sports equipment, the rear bench slides handily into the boot. The car can also be fitted with specially designed sports equipment, including tennis racquets, golf clubs, skis, a surfboard or a bike.

No powertrain details have been released but we suspect there’d be some highly efficient electric or hybrid system in place.

The Motor Authority team will be in Paris next week to bring you all the latest details on the 2010 Citroen Lacoste Concept and live images direct from the show floor.
