We saw Jaguar unveil the XKR 75 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed back in July to mark its 75th anniversary and now the celebrations continue with the announcement of the 2011 Jaguar XKR175, which is scheduled to make its debut this weekend at the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

With the U.S. market in mind, the XKR175 comes with the same 510 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque supercharged V-8 as the regular XKR but it has a new top speed of 174 mph thanks to some adjustments to the car’s ECU. To ensure that the XKR175 remains stable at these high speeds, a revised aerodynamic package incorporating a new front air dam, new side sills, a new rear diffuser and a larger rear spoiler provide increased balance and a reduction in lift.

New 20 inch ‘Kasuga’ 10-spoke alloy wheels, red brake calipers and a special black exterior paint adorn the car's exterior.

Inside, door sill tread plates reading "XKR175 – 1 of 175" greet the driver and passenger while the seats and trim are finished in a special charcoal leather with contrasting red stitching. The final touch is a piano black wood veneer.

Production of the 2011 Jaguar XKR175 will be limited to just 175 units, each with a pricetag of a $104,500. Of the 175, 15 have been allocated for the Canadian market, with the rest destined for the U.S.
