A Great Investment
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: My car rides smoothly over roads, is very quiet, and fun to drive.
The leather interior is extremelly comfortable, more so than the Passat, and the control systems on the steering wheeel are very convenient.
I like the sleek body as well. Cons: The interior instruments are generic.
Honda could have updated. I would like to see different colors in the background lighiting behind the instruments.
Overall: This is an awesome, reliable, and well made automobile.
It rides well, and looks great! You will enjoy driving this car for the next ten years (at least) knowing...

Most Enjoyable Car I've Owned
Source: Cars.com

...Monsoon audio and 5-speed Tiptronic are just a few of the many features. Also this wagon came with the sport suspension and the 17in alloys from BBS.These wheels take the car from a 3 to a 4 on styling.Reliability remains to be seen but two weeks have seen $450 in maintenance costs including a brake fluid change, cabin air filter and a faulty brake vaccum hose which set off the check engine light. All that aside though I love this car and after the 10,000 I paid I figure I have a lot to spend on maintenance on a 40,000 dollar car. If you want a solid performance sedan that you wont see on the...

Honda = Rome. It fell hard.
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Great engine. Good fuel economy. Good passenger room.
Excellent auto climate control. Cons: 3 sets of brakes in 14k miles.
Poor quality isn't even accurate. AWFUL quality. Faulty/unsafe transmission.
They have had 6 years to fix them! Rattles and squeeks all over interior.
Passenger airbag cover sags. Front drivers side fender pops when you touch it. Overall: Great Honda engine. Wish it was installed in a VW Passat...

Sweet Passatt
Source: Cars.com

..."2003 Passat GLX Wagon, 91K miles. Needed a few repairs.
Bought 6 weeks ago. Ran rough at first, but good fuel and some highway miles have smoothed things out.
Some minor electrical problems still to be corrected: heated front seats, intermittent wipers, rear window washer. Original tires! A dream to drive. I hope to keep this beauty for many more years."...

Even a cavewoman would love it
Source: Cars.com

..."I have owned my Passat GLX since 2003. (6 years now).
The only real problem I have had is with the brakes, which had to be replaced after the warranty ran out (how do they do that so consistently).
You must find a good, honest mechanic (they are out there). the VW dealers in the DC region have the lowest possible ratings...

do not buy volkswagen
Source: Cars.com

..."I spent $13,000 on service, maintenance and repairs over 5 and a half years of ownership.
Once warranty was over (after 4 and half years) my Passat started to fall apart.
The fact that I kept up with scheduled maintenance did very little to performance.
When I called VW all I heard was "warranty is over, there's nothing we can do for you". Stay away from Passat (unless you want to lease/buy for 3 years or less)"...

Excellent car
Source: Cars.com

..."I bought mine a basic GL used, I have never had any problems with it, I'm 21 and i do all my oil changes on it.
I have no ideea why all these people complain about, if you take good care of it you shoudn't have any problems.
I had a chevy before and i put way more money and time into that one then into the Passat."...
