Jetta wannabeSource: MSN Autos...Paid $19000 new out the door in July 2003. Cons: At night headlights dim momentarily as if something is draining power momentarily. Brakes are too aggressive and jerky. Holding power on curves proportional to your hold on steering wheel. Wind noise. Cruise control accessible by braille only; back interior camouflages everything. Very difficult to see over high trunk when backing. Road noise (will someone please post the best tires for this vehicle, something that balances handling with comfort!) Overall: Ambivalence. Jettas are more fun to drive, handle better, but fall apart. I always wished... |

Great Style, Great CarSource: MSN Autos...Had only minor problems right when I bought it. Leather interior was almost new looking, except for some of the driver seat. Paint still looks brand new, even though it was its original paint. Cons: The car I purchased has a recurring oil leak. Sometimes it stops, but sometimes it leaks a lot. Mechanics seem to fix it, but it comes back sometimes. Overall: Great car considering its age. I dont believe many other cars could match its quality when they are the same age. My mom has a 94 VW jetta, which she purchased new, that had way more problems within its first 4 years, then my accord has had... |
