Nice car but doesn't hold up in a crash
Source: Edmunds

...I loved this car when I bought it- it has a fun, youthful design, great on gas and is fun & zippy to drive.
Beware though- this car does not hold up in a crash.
I had a head-on collision in 2009 in a Yaris that caused $10,000 damage to the car and bent the frame beyond repair- and the airbags did not deploy.
I contacted Toyota about it and got a canned response
stating that I wasn't hit hard enough to set off the airbags - but it was sufficient to bend the frame beyond repair and left me with a concussion from hitting my head among other injuries.
When I bought a...

great little car

..."peppy, tight, solid feel. very roomy even for a 6'+ guy.
Quietest small car i've ever driven. The gas guage seems to almost never move! Feels like Toyota quality through and through. I'd recommend it to anyone who does a lot of in-city driving."...

Smooth Ride
Source: Cars.com

..."I bought my 2007 Yaris in December 2009 the car had 21,500 miles, I have had it for 4 months now and the ride is amazingly smooth for a small car.
It is very economical on gas, and very responsive for having such small engine.
The only inconvenience at the beginning was having the tachometer and gauges on the center. I would highly recommend it to any one, it is a lot of car for the money."...

A Great Little Investment
Source: Cars.com

...Our two teenagers came along with us (We're not biggish, but tall; I'm 6'1".), so we were cozy but survived and even thrived our 7,500-mile 18-day trek across the States. On our first leg of the trip to the Grand Canyon we somehow got 43mpg (tailwind?). Our range was between 37-43mpg with 39+mpg being the norm. So, our total for gas was around $500! This little car did very well (smooth, fairly quiet) through traffic (Manhattan!), heavy rains (NE), narrow parking lots/spaces, and the desert winds/heat of the Southwest. The only downside would be power to pass slower vehicles while carrying 4...

My space ship
Source: Cars.com

..."Had the car since day one they came out. For being small and compact it's pretty comfy and not bad.
At first I wasn't used to the speedo being in the middle but got used to it and i like it better there.great gas miles averaging 34mpg.
Car has never gave me any trouble only had to replace battery and the belt which was time to anyways.
I this the car looks good from outside all my friends gave it a nick name spaceship cause it's unusual look,
what really separates this car from regular yaris is the lip kit on it And fog lights gives it that sporty look."...
