My Highlander fits us perfectly.
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: It's 9/10ths of the Lexus RX330 at 60% of the cost and you get the awesome stowaway 3rd row seat.
Quiet, comfortable, safe, reliable. Cons: Braking effort is a bit high when needed to slow quickly.
Overall: For our family of 5 and a dog, this vehicle is a nice complement to our minivan.
It is a little bit of everything I want/need: luxurious enough, fast enough, utilitarian enough, and efficient enough. Factor in safety and reliability with a decent price and Toyota built a winner...

Transmission Toubles Abound
Source: Cars.com

...We love the features in the car, the power is great!! and as a around town run around the car functions perfectly. But when you get out on the highway and try to set the cruise at 75 to 80 mph, all of the sudden the wonderful car that we love turns into a SUPER SHIFTING MACHINE. at even the slightest change in elevation the Highlander will jump from overdrive to third gear and tach 5500 rpm, for about 15 second it will then skip fourth gear and jump into overdrive, only to jump back into third and rev out again. Each time I have taken it to the dealer they tell me it all falls within the...

..."This is a very good suv to drive. The only issue that I have with this suv is that the transmission "jumps" once in a while during take off.
The gears do not shift as smoothly as I think they should...

Very nice SUV

...I'm from the bay area, I was ready to buy a Toyota Highlander but thank god I saw this SUV online, I went to test drive it and I liked a lot.
Don't get me wrong the highlander is nice but for just a couple of more dollars I got a better SUV overall. You can feel the power on it, just had it for almost a week and I love it...

Great Highlander
Source: MSN Autos

...Have over 109,000 miles on it , mostly highway and still have the original brakes, muffler and et al....NEVER any problems. Change the oil regularly and do regular maintanence and off we go! Can't say enough good about this car....too bad the US automakers can't make such a car!!!! Cons: only thing I don't like is the seats are not as comfortable as they could be, and when you open the back windows you better open the front too or you have lots of wind noise/reverburation that is annoying. But I still think this car is the BEST! Overall: Fun to drive, great family car and VERY VERY reliable...

ULTIMATE SUV
Source: MSN Autos

...The quiet inside cabin, the interior. The braking is awesome! The gas mileage is great I got the 4 cly and I have no regrets. The car has plenty of power. the whole design is GREAT!! Cons: I found nothing wrong with it. I just love it! Overall: After researching & test driving alot of suv's I kept coming back to the Highlander. It was the best move money wise & Toyota's reputation helped. But besides test driving it & loving it the dealership they were so great. No pressure...

My First SUV
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: I love the space! This SUV has tons of room to store things, PLENTY of cup holders for everyone inside, and it gets excellent gas mileage.
Overall, the Highlander is very user friendly. Cons: I would have liked to get a darker interior color.
I have noticed that every little mark shows up on the beige coloring.
Overall: I went to the Toyota dealership looking at the RAV-4.
After test driving that and realizing that it was WAY TOO SMALL, I decided to give the Highlander a shot.
I absolutely fell in love with it. I couldn't ask for anything better. It is perfect...
