Great Hybrid Value
Source: MSN Autos

...The discounts are gone and the inventory is thin. Not sure the price the dealers are now charging makes sense over the 4 cyl. Beware of the prepaid 4 year 55K maintenance plan - car only requires oil changes, tire rotation and a couple of cabin filter replacements up to 100K so the $$$for the plan are a waste. Extended warranty makes sense due to all of the electronics. Have the Sirius satellite antenna painted to match car and then mount it on the trunk lid - looks great. The car has more room, power and is a better value when compared to the Prius. Looked at Accord - big issue - no...

2009 Hybird 9 mos in

...Purchased this car because of good history, good resale value and MPG. At 71 years of age I hoped this car would do well over the coming years and gas prices again going sky high. So far I am pleased with this car and the dealership. No recalls YET. I am very upset over the information about Toyota now coming out. I still like this car, good gas MPG around town. Better in warmer times then winter. I do wish it had a better interior. Great car but a little on the expensive side for what you get in return. Hope resale value or trade value does not drop."...

The car

...Pros: This is the car for for 2009, mpg, ( 34+ in town, 38+ on highway), comfortable ride, very quiet, JBL sound system, dash lighting.
I looked at all the imports, AUDI,BMW, etc. none could compare.
Cons: No real dislikes. Overall: Give it a 10. With gas prices at these levels, I have a large car that gets better mpg then the small boxes...

The perfect blend of fun & sensibility
Source: MSN Autos

...I get nothing but compliments on the car. Very quiet and feels nice and smooth when driving. Leather seating is very nice and the heated seats warm quickly which is a big bonus in MN! Interior is as gorgeous as the outside and everything you could wish for is easily accessible. Cons: The Ipod plug in is located in a very weird spot. Also, lost the reclining feature of the rear seat with the battery placement. Overall: Great car! I've been averaging about 40 mpg. For a vehicle with this much space it's very satisfying. Hard to come by now though. Waited 4 weeks for mine to arrive...

hybrid holiday

...It's not overly responsive but quick and friendly, fun.
Small turning circle very easy to manage down the road.
No real issues looks great. I find myself trying to manage great mileage numbers and therefor it slows down my driving a tad. No lack of acceleration...

Being green is easy with this car
Source: Cars.com

..."I have owned a Camry Hybrid for almost 3 years now and I have never been this pleased with a car this far down the road!
The car performs better than when originally bought, mileage actually has improved and she runs like a Swiss watch every day.
While my new car warranty has just run out, I have not really used it!
The fit and finish is excellent and while some reviews have criticized the design for some minor shortcomings,
it is by far the best constructed vehicle I have ever owned (I've had a few in my 50+ years of life!)...

Beauty, comfort economical
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: everything, i have had this car for one year and am approaching 15k miles.
The mileage keeps imporving . Love this car especially with the price of gas approaching $4.00 Cons: nothing Overall: outstanding one of the smartest decisions I have made...

Great Car
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: The comfort, room and visability was a lot better then I expected.
Handling is excellent, would recommend this car. Cons: Only two items I wish toyota would reconsider.
External door trim should be standard on the high end model.
Would protect from those people who like to open their car door into the side of your car.
Second item is the small vibration that occurs every time the car transitions from electric to gas. still need some work on that. Overall: Over all this is great car and glad I made the purchase...

Snowbirds, beware!
Source: MSN Autos

...Cons: Prolematic handling in winter conditions. ABS does not work in slippery conditions, must pump brakes. The back end of car loses grip easily. Engine surges when cold, will cause premature brake wear. Standard tires are dangerous, there will be lawsuits. Toyota should use Michilins, like Lexus does. Really should just park car every time it snows. Back seatbelts become tangled easily. Overall: Snowbirds, beware. Worthless winter car, be prepared to park it! Needs to go back to engineering school. The concept is good, and is maximized for warmer climates only...

the best hybrid

...Pros: Excellent gas ileage. I originally thought I would save $150.00 per month, but it actually works out to over $200.00 per month Cons: none Overall: excellent...

Why should I also consider these?

The Altima Hybrid, which also uses a full-hybrid system, has mileage and overall performance that's very similar to those of the Camry Hybrid, but the Camry's interior is a little roomier.

The luxurious, diesel-powered Mercedes E320 BlueTEC seems like an unlikely competitor, but it also attracts buyers who want to decrease their petroleum use, and it gets 32 mpg on the highway.

To its credit, the E320 BlueTEC rides, handles, and accelerates just about as well as the gasoline E350, but it's more than twice the price of the Camry Hybrid.

Or if you'd like a full-hybrid powertrain in a compact SUV, there's the Ford Escape Hybrid, which is rated at 34 mpg city, 30 mpg highway.

Finally, if you don't need all the space of the Camry and don't mind a hatchback, you might as well go for the much more fuel-efficient Prius, which gets 48 mpg city, 45 mpg highway.

The 2008 Nissan Altima is a little sportier, though not less sensible.
