Suzuki the other Japanese Auto Company?
Source: Edmunds

...I have purchased a Suzuki product once before and was please with the quality and performance.
I was looking for a car for my daughter and found the Forenza, its quality and performance match that of the previous 1995 Esteem. Suzuki has one of the best car warranties around...

nice care
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: I returned home with this car three weeks ago and have to say it is very nice, alot better than the 04 Suzuki Forenza I traded in.
BUT my father just got a 07 Saturn Aura with everything I have in my honda for thousands less.
I think his Saturn is faster and handles better, with a better warrenty.
I still don't know if I would buy one but would think twice if I hadn't already got my Accord Cons: I spent my last dime
!!! Overall: Nice car, too much money. The quality is there but I might not do it again.
I have had Toyota's, Suzuki's and Nissan's but I am starting...

Great Value
Source: Cars.com

...It doesn't have the power of a V6 but it gets up and goes. In fact, it handles speed very well; especially turning corners and maintaining itself as a little giant on the freeway. The insulation is not that great as when you turn up the radio, you can hear it down the street with the doors closed. It is comfortable and has 15" wheels standard. Much better than 12 or 13 inches. I expect it will last a while with a great warrantee. Great value for the features. Although it would be nice to have cruise control and keyless entry standard on all of them. The 2007 base comes with these standard...

Better value than Corolla or Civic
Source: Edmunds

...The Forenza is the best value on the street. I have had two Civics and one Corolla and the Forenza tops them all.
For what you pay for the Forenza you couldn't get a bone stock Civic.
The Forenza comes with all power windows, a really good stereo, and a world class a/c.
Suzuki has come along way from jet skis and motorcycles. With America's best warranty 7years/100,000, why wouldn't you go with the Forenza?...

Great Family Car Not A Sports Car By Any Means
Source: CarGurus

...Great car for family outings and city driving. Its not quick at all and is a bit touchy sometimes.
Very basic model car with out any bells or whistles. Overall nice car for the single mom or family scene but not a good play car...

Beware the car
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: The car looks good. Cons: All the times I've
had to take it to the shop in a span of 3 months for the same problem (the transmission) Overall: Don't waste your money on this car no matter how cheap it is...

Quality
Source: Cars.com

..."Nice quality car to get you from point a to b. Gets ok gas millage.
I average about 26 mpg. I like the overall ride of the car, but it has a lot of road noise.
it comes with a very good sound system. these cars don't hold there resale value, so its best to buy one used."...

Decent Car for the Price
Source: Cars.com

..."I brought this car from a dealer with 36,000 miles on it and it runs decent. No problems so far. Wont recommend it for long trips, since its not getting more than 30mph....."...

Airbags did not work on impact
Source: Edmunds

...I got hit by a person driving a Chev Tahoe on my passenger side and got pushed into the highway concrete barrier.
I got some stiches, cuts and bruises. Had to be cut out of car with the jaws of life. Interesting thing and concern was that none of the front airbags or seat side airbags deployed...

Please don't buy a suzuki
Source: Edmunds

...i bought my car about 2 years ago. it seemed ok at first until it started turning off out of nowhere.
That is when all my problems began. i took it back over and over again only for them to look at me like I'm stupid tell me they couldn't find anything and sent me home.
now my check engine light stays on all the time, my air bags won't turn on and quite frankly this car is worse than the 92 buick lesabre that i got rid of to get this.
my sister has an 07 forenza and we seem to have the same problems within months of each other. coincidence i think NOT!...

Why should I also consider these?

The 2008 Suzuki Forenza competes in a class where price, features for the money, and running costs are everything.

Of these, the base Elantra and Spectra both come very well equipped; each of these vehicles additionally comes with side-curtain airbags.

The Elantra has a much more composed ride than the Forenza, while the Spectra is a little noisier inside but feels somewhat sportier.

The new, redesigned Lancer starts around $14,000 and doesn’t include a lot of standard features, but it’s much more fun to drive than the Forenza and has the roadholding and poise of a more expensive car.

Finally, there’s also the Dodge Caliber, which starts in a price range that competes with the Forenza but it has a more spacious, versatile interior and hatchback layout.

The Forenza wagon stands out in its class; it’s one of few small wagons left that hasn’t been replaced by a raised-roof crossover vehicle.

2008 Dodge Caliber
The Caliber has a very practical layout and quite a few innovative features to get excited about, but it's lacking in driving enjoyment or refinement--even compared to its low-priced competition.

2008 Hyundai Elantra
The 2008 Hyundai Elantra doesn’t have a lot of personality, but it’s the undeniable practical choice.

2008 Kia Spectra
The 2008 Kia Spectra is still a lot of car for the money, but with it’s a bit outclassed by a host of more refined and updated small-car models.

2008 Mitsubishi Lancer
The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer is a basic but sporty sedan with some tech features not often offered in this class.
