Unbelievable!!!
Source: Cars.com

..."When I test drove this car I was astonished by it's all around performance!
The 4cyl boxer is very robust and the whole car just seems well balanced.
To top things off, it's very utilitarian. I can pop the hatch, fold the back seat and put my bike or skiis right in!
My favorite thing is the STI's easy upgradeability.
I installed an INJEN intake, Greddy Catback exhaust, and Brembo Drilled rotors all on my own.
Then I took it for professional tuning and managed to achieve 360 hp and 355 lb/ft of torque. The grand total for the car with all the extras and tuning came to...

An amazing reliable ugly little car!! Loved it!
Source: Cars.com

..."I owned a 97 subaru outback sport for about 4 years
while in college full time and also had two jobs.I therefore was always in a hurry and with no time for anything else.I pretty much abused my subie but this car could not break down
!When I did go for maintenance I always asked the mechanics ..
."are you sure nothing is wrong ?"and they would always confirm that it was a sturdy vehicle.Watch out though
,it handles the snow very well and this gives one too much confidence. Its not a looker but its definately the best car i've ever owned so far without a doubt!"...

I LOVE this car!
Source: Cars.com

..."This car has performed great for me in all situations - off-roading on mountain/forest roads, bad weather, highway driving, even urban gridlock.
We've driven it coast to coast - there's so much room with the seats folded down (and the horsepower to haul is phenomenal
!). I see myself driving it another 5-10 years or more (if it lets me). This car has been virtually maintenance free. I highly recommend it!"...

Love my car

..."I love this car! I traded in a 2007 Mazda CX-7 for a brand new subaru!
I love my Impreza and wouldn't trade it for anything...I don't believe I'm going to buy any other kind of car but Subaru's from now on
!!! I think it is easy to drive and almost drives all by itself. I feel safe and love this car"...

It's A Crazy, No-compromises Sports Car.
Source: CarGurus

...Love this car. It's fast, good looking, practical and reliable.
The handling is amazing, and it really puts a smile on your face when the turbocharger kicks in. Of course, it's a Subaru, so you get legendary Japanese build quality and reliability...

It's got 9 Lives!!
Source: Cars.com

...a couple of man hours by my husband, dad, and brother), it would pass and give me another complete year of great performance. Although the "check engine light" is eternally lit in this car, it's been soooooo good to me through every winter, and it's gotten me safely to and from work over my hour-long commute, while I travel 90 mph on the highway (please don't tell anyone). It's a safe powerhouse of a car, and the thought of getting rid of it has truly brought me to tears multiple times. It has very attractive, sporty and youthful exterior styling with a very comfortable and sensible interior...

If You Don't Care About 1/4 Mile Times And Need To Haul Stuff Then It's For You.
Source: CarGurus

...Obviously the new look is either love or hate, I'm not a fan of the looks but it gets the job done so I don't really mind.
Plenty of space, comfortable, more room than you expect, and quick enough to keep you happy. Whatever you do get the manual transmission...

Great small car
Source: Cars.com

..."I own the WRX wagon and its a GREAT all around vehicle.
It's very sporty, very reliable, gets decent gas mileage, and with the wagon body style it can fit almost anything in the back with the seats folded down (i've hauled 8foot 2x4's).
The luggage rack can also hold several hundred pounds of cargo if necessary.
The All-Wheel-Drive system is amazing. Feels surefooted rain or snow.
My only complaints are rear seat room (but I'm 6'2") and the ride is just a touch too stiff. But that's a sporty car for you. Get compliments everywhere I go :)"...

I love this car!
Source: Edmunds

...I have 2007 Subaru Impreza special edition now, and my lease is almost over, so it's time to by a new car.
I compared the Mazda3 hatch to the 2010 Subaru Impreza 5-door.
The Subaru's style didn't impress me. I got a Mazda3 with everything I could ever ask for.
I can say the Mazda handles even better them my 07 Subaru.
The 3's engine is monstrously powerful, making it an absolute joy to drive.
It has a tight turning radius, is a pleasure to drive and I don't notice any excessive road noise. I have this car for 2 month and I love it. Highly recommended!...

Best hatchback
Source: Cars.com

..."I ordered my 2010 WRX with the options I wanted since it's tough to find exactly what you're looking for in stock.
I used to own an RX8, so I shopped the MazdaSpeed3 first.
The WRX accelerates quicker, and it puts the power down better.
It's also much more comfortable, and cargo and rear seat space are substantially better.
Plus the interior is classier. I've driven about 13K miles and get between 22-24 mpg in mixed driving, and as high as 26 on the hwy...

Why should I also consider these?

Two cars with similar attributes to the 2010 Subaru Impreza are the Suzuki SX4 and Volkswagen Golf/Jetta.

The SX4 is available in a range of body styles, including both a hatch and sedan, and is the lowest-priced vehicle with all-wheel drive.

The Golf and Jetta miss out on all-wheel drive, but they have a quality feel and are loaded with safety features.

The Toyota Matrix is a good alternative, with available all-wheel drive, a relatively spacious interior, and a good ride.

However, safety in the Matrix is no match for the Impreza, with side airbags, for example, coming as an option.

Both the Mazda3 and Mitsubishi Lancer are strong contenders, both featuring edgier handling and a sharper feel, though engine and road noise on these cars can be a bit intrusive.

2010 Mazda MAZDA3
The 2010 Mazda3 engages drivers like few other compact cars, though a little more room and less noise couldn't hurt.

2010 Mitsubishi Lancer
The Mitsubishi Lancer might be positioned and priced as an economy car, but with the right equipment, it can feel like a lot more.

2010 Suzuki SX4
The 2010 Suzuki SX4 delivers cheerful refinement at a remarkably low price; its only Achilles' heel is its fuel efficiency.

2010 Toyota Matrix
Not quite a utility vehicle, but a little more robust than a no-frills hatchback, the 2010 Toyota Matrix offers an appealing combination of frugality and versatility.
