Best Car...

..."I am so sad to have to say goodbye to my '98 Saab 900SE.
It served me very well, and I, unfortunately, was in an accident that totaled it.
I'm heartbroken that Saab let go of the hatchback design, as I found it incredibly handy for hauling things on busy weekends, and yet having things kept private in the trunk.
The handling was superb, and the seats very comfortable.
I did go through a couple of periods of large expense, but then it would have smooth sailing for another 50K+ miles. It has 130,000, and I felt it could have gone a lot further."...

...Pros: great ride, awsome looks, i have it parked right next to my dads 2002 3.2TL and it still looks better ,i have gotten so much love from friends and people who own an acura.
i still have people haten me for breaking of there tricked out cars and mine is still stock.

Great driver, quality a concern
Source: MSN Autos

...As a result, there have been some un-Honda quality problems (I have owned may Hondas but my wife's 1st one and it has left a bad taste in her mouth as she was a die hard Mazda owner. We have owned the car since new, never wrecked and well maintianed. Problems 1.) three fuel sending units, 2.) two window regulators, 3.) transmission repalaced at 40k, 4.) transmission interlock w/ the ignition and had to rekey all the locks, console cover hinge broke twice. On the positive side, During the 3/36,000 period, Honda of America did give us a free 2 year BTB warranty extension for free. At least that...

Reliability and cost to repair make it a nightmare
Source: Cars.com

..."I purchased a 1996 900S convertible earlier this year.
The handles very well and has reasonable acceleration.
It also very subtly attractive. It is "near luxury" car with leather seats, premium sound, and other bells and whistles.
But within 2 months, the convertible top failed to a cost of $2800 even though it had been fixed the previous year.
In addition, other minor but expensive failures make me extremely nervous about overall reliability.
I think Saab/GM was still experimenting when they designed this car and I have heard that reliability has improved. However, I...

Awesome Car For The Money!
Source: Cars.com

..."I purchased my 1998 Saab 900 SE Turbo Covertible about 3 years ago.
I have put many miles on it, both city and freeway and the car keeping on running like a dream.
At this time it has 156K on it. The water pump has been out now for 5 months, and the car's temp rarely goes up.
For some reason people are affraid to own these cars, but truthfully the repairs are very far apart, right up there with my previous Accord's.
It is also a car you can keep for many many years, as it is always recognizable as a Saab. Love it! Buy one!"...
