Amazing

Our Chev 3500

...Pros: Very strong acceleration and towing capability; better fuel economy than you would anticipate.
Good handling for a large truck. Love the Allison transmission, and the transmission brake, especially while descending long mountain grades with the trailer.
Cons: Had to replace crankshaft position sensor; a recall in US but not in Canada yet.
Common problem with 8.1L engines I am told. Brake feel a little soft for my liking.
"Phantom" warning lights come on sometimes i.e. Low Fuel Overall: A good truck that we will keep for many more years...

...Controls fall easily to hand, and adjustments are both quick and easy. It offers a comfortable ride, front seat or rear, and certainly turns heads wherever it goes. Cons: Styling leaves much to be desired. In fact, it reminds of nothing quite so much as an episode of "Pimp My Ride" gone horribly wrong. Some months after accepting delivery, I still cannot bring myself to drive it more than occasionally, and never on extended trips. Overall: I'm ambivalent: This is a Rolls-Royce, after all, but it lacks the panache of earlier models. In many ways--quality, fit and finish, and materials...
