Panamera 4 review
Source: Edmunds

...First Porsche. Considered and drove several times the following: E350/550, BMW535/550, Jaguar XF, Infinity 37/56, Audi A6.
By far the most fun to drive was the Panamera. A bit more expensive than most on the list but the most unique on the road.
The competition is common on the road. It is fun to get the looks and the thumbs up from many.
The V6 has ample power compared to the V8. Been getting over 23 mpg on combined city/highway with average speeds of around 45 mph.
This car is a bit sluggish right off the start but it really picks up once you hit 35 mph. Getting from...

Panamera; Thumbs-Up
Source: MSN Autos

...For a car that does 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds (measured) and 176 mph (unmeasured) this is an amazing combination. The interior is outstanding and comfortable with switches to activate everything necessary to maintain the comfort. The braking is unbelieveaable and actually causes some concern because tailgaters will become attached to the rearend in heavy traffic.. Cons: Would have picked a darker interior because the current light color requires cleaning to avoid looking shoddy. Other than that, nothing comes to mind. Overall: This car leaves little to be desired, at least for this writer. It...

The Panamera
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Beautiful styling, interior, and wow affect. I have never owned a car that garners such attention....people don't just slow down to see the car,
they roll down their windows and ask "what is it" it is beautiful....or "gosh I have never seen a sexier car
." Cons: The back-up camera should come standard. Routine Maintenance cost are expensive, about 40% more than my Mercedes.
Overall: What a great car...I use my mercedes to commute about 3 days a week....on the other 2 days I drive the Panamera, and I find myself taking the long way to and from work each day...

Best Car I've Ever Owned

..."I've owned the Porsche Panamera for only 2 months but it is by far the best car I've owned.
It drives great at 35mph and at 100mph. Very comfortable and great layout. Plus I get compliments every day on the look of the car."...

2011 Porsche Panamera V6
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Handling, Precise steering and road feel, consistent power throughout the tachometer range,
great V6 engine Cons: Sensor in trunk is a bit annoying when it detects a large object inside and refuses to close the trunk lid even if the object fits inside the trunk without a problem.
This is usually corrected by pushing the said large object to the back of the trunk.
Overall: Great build quality, great road feel, wonderful performance and steering at high & low speeds. The ultimate GT car in the market today...

Great sports car
Source: Edmunds

...Really great car, shockingly so. It's a very comfortable 4 door sedan, decent headroom, comfortable, usable seats, both front and rear, smooth and quiet ride, nice interior.
At the same time, it has absolutely unreal, incredible sports car handling.
The only car I've ever driven that handled the road as well as the Panamera was a 360 Modena.
But that was a very noisy 2 seater, you could feel every bump on the road, difficult to get in an out of, etc.
Amazing, they basically took a Ferrari and made it pleasant to drive, with virtually no degradation in performance...

Love Driving my Porsche
Source: Cars.com

..."I researched cars for over a year. The Panamera was one of the first cars I tested.
I then looked at Mercedes and a bunch of other cars and came back to the Panamera. I put my kids in the back, I drive it every day, I got the Panamera 4, so I can drive it in the snow if needed...

Why should I also consider these?

Porsche's Panamera is almost too unique to be directly compared to anything on the market, but several cars come in close on pricing and performance.

The BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class offer more traditional aesthetics and layout, plus a much higher grade of technology, along with similar spectra of performance across their ranges, though both come off more as heavy, high-speed cruisers than nimble full-size sports cars.

Maserati's Quattroporte is closer to the Panamera on feel and responsiveness, and adds the aural beauty of a Ferrari-designed V-8 engine, but suffers in ride quality and interior quality in comparison to the Panamera.

Mercedes-Benz's CLS Class, particularly in AMG trim, may be the closest competitor of the group, though again, ride quality suffers to deliver sharp handling while the sharply sloped rear roofline compromises back-seat headroom.

Aston Martin's Rapide is perhaps even more capable than the Panamera, and more exclusive, but also more expensive.

2012 BMW 7-Series
The 2012 BMW 7-Series is the Bavarian automaker's flagship model, and it cleverly wraps vast interior space, industry-leading tech, and the expected BMW fleet-footedness.

2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS Class
Still a fashionista at heart, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS is cut from a more masculine pattern book these days--especially in powerful AMG trim.

2012 Mercedes-Benz S Class
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has a wide range of personalities--all of them superbly comfortably, some of them outrageously powerful.

2012 Maserati Quattroporte
The 2012 Maserati Quattroporte is a stylish, well-handling, exclusive choice for a luxury sedan.
