Great Car, Better Price
Source: Cars.com

...The Toyota Matrix is a twin and still being built. Vibes were redesigned in 2009-10 with a lot of standard safety features like stability and traction control. I would certainly seek these out first. Since it has a Pontiac badge, the resale price doesn't seem great. I got my mine for less than the minimum blue book price. It remains a solid vehicle and a pleasure for me to drive. Its cargo space is huge and very useful. The only caution is be very aware that it has thick pillars that eat up a lot of the rear-view mirror's view. Get used to using your side mirrors and you will be OK...

love my Vibe!
Source: Cars.com

..."I bought my Vibe because i took a job 50 miles from my home and needed economical transportation.
Got it used, and have put over 50,000 miles on it with almost zero repair costs. Regularly get 32 miles per gallon, and if i'm being good (say a steady 60 to 65 miles per hour) I've gotten 36 mpg...

Very Special Little Car.
Source: CarGurus

...This is my second Vibe. I can park it, turn it and drive it with ease.
It is very comfortable inside and t the cargo room is exceptional.
In my last one I carried dishwashers to job sites with room to spare.
It has a very speedy engine and I have had no mechanical issues at all.
It is just a neat car for adults or kids! And, it has On Star, XM Radio and MP3!!! I occasionally use the phone so I don't have to cell phone my calls. I like this car!!...

Great All In One Car
Source: CarGurus

...What can I say...it is totally Toyota Quality with GM adding better styling and suspension.
Love the sporty almost SUV look with 46mpg hwy(CDN) and find it very good to drive.
Don't like the lack of being able to see the front of the car and don't like the big pillars in the back re: visability...but the huge side mirrors correct that.
Easy to get in and out of, good finish insiside, very intuitive controls etc.
Fun to drive... great looking sporty yet practical car.
Even without the front fold flat, I transported a 6 foot product with the right and front passenger...

Not a vehicle to buy if you live where it snows
Source: Edmunds

...I purchased my 2006 Vibe in October of 2010 and have had nothing but trouble with it.
This car handles horribly in midwest winters. It has newer tires, just no traction on or in snow and rain.
I went in a complete circle turning a corner 1 day and I was barely moving because the snow was fresh and could tell the Vibe wasn't handling well.
I was having issues with my key not working in the ignition back in November, and just got a letter on February 19 2011 there is a safety recall with my car.
I wouldn't have known about the recall because it wasn't discovered until Aug of...

2009 Vibe
Source: Cars.com

..."Saw this car in a parking lot of a store, and thought..mmm..
cute car.. went home, looked on line to see what it was and how much, then searched in my home town...
and there was one on the lot just waiting for me! Bought it in the middle of a snow storm.
Great handling on the slick roads. LOVE this car. Roomy, affordable, and easy to drive and see out of. Lots of windows and storage space. For a mini SUV, it gets great gas mileage, 30 MPG!"...

OK but fule economy power tradoff thier
Source: Cars.com

...is the base 1.8 which get's good gas in low mid 30's but I imagine you definitely get more pop from 2.4 standard.Still my automatic has enoguh to get out of the way.Like th meaty 205 16 55's.Handles well enough and comfort is good not great (seats rood noise 4 of 5).If you want a wide box but don't want a mini van and would like to be 2/3rd to German Hatch or wagon all in all it's a good set of trade offs for the matrix of cargo, fuel comfort and ok if not inspired acceleration. Now to put a decent set of all season and check it out in snow."...
