06 G6 Gtp

...This Car is great. Performance- Acceleration is really good, brakes feel solid, A little bit of torque steer when starting from a stop but thats what you get with a front wheel drive.
This car is a Blast to drive. Gorgeous Exterior and nice quality interior. Gas mileage could be better but it is a HO 3.9 liter V6 So i'm not complaining too much. goes with the engine...

Good car lots of maintence
Source: Cars.com

..."I've had my G6 since November 2007 Ive had to get a new set of tires, 3 tie rods, all new wheel barrings, and a new steer column motor.
I love my car though minus all the money I have tied up in it just because it is so sporty yet affordable and fits my needs."...

I Love This Car
Source: CarGurus

...I am surprised that the gas mileage is so good for a V 6,
winter driving in the cold and I am averaging 28 miles to gallon,
mileage is not as good city driving but overall very good, handles very well, it has lots of get up & go power and I love the looks of the car, a fun car to drive...

Warning!!!!!
Source: Edmunds

...This car is by far the worst car I have ever owned.
At 47,000 miles i had my 2nd pair of rotors put on.
At 50,000 I had struts replaced. At 70,000 my cd player went out.
At 75,000 My transmission needed to be rebuilt along with the catalytic converter and all of the o2 sensors.
It seems like every time I have fixed it; it breaks down again.
This could just be my experience but I would not wish this on anyone. I am at about $4,000 in repairs and the car is only worth about $5,000...

Excellent first car
Source: Cars.com

..."This is the first new car I have ever owned and it has been absolutely spectacular.
I bought it after test-driving 16 other cars, ranging from the Ford Fusion to the Chevy HHR, and I have not been disappointed in my choice.
The engine is exceptionally quiet even at highway speeds.
The transmission has no problem picking the gear I want, which is unusual for me, given that all of my cars prior to this one had had manual transmissions.
The rear seat has ample leg room for friends and family. The fuel economy is pretty good, as I generally get around 30 mpg in combined...

No more GM

..."I had G6 4 years .60.ooo miles , not many problems problems ,
exelent for gas , V6 -22-24 MPG in city .But ..........I lost $ 15.000 in 4 years on this car .I got brand new for $ 22.000 I trade in for $7.000 after 7 years .Cheap interior materials ,
cheap seat cussion . Changed hubs , both sides front ,
3 times rotors and pads , head lamp , batery and few things not very important .I do not recomend to buy G6 -you will loose money .But HONDA ,
TOYOTA , cars keeps value better than GM .Make smart choice ."...

Great car
Source: Edmunds

...I now have 80,000 miles. My breaks needed changed after awhile and I put the best ceramic pads on and cheaper rotors. Had loud squeky brakes til I put acid wheel cleaner on the rotors to get the glaze off. Wheel bearing hub assembly went out around 60k on front passenger was $120 to fix myself wasnt hard. Thats the only thing thats gone wrong. Get your transmission fluid and filter change at 50k and every 30k after. Its only $80. Changed spark plugs today cost $44.88 dealer reccomends changing at 100,000 miles but mine were definitly due at 75,000. Use the oem ac delco plugs "iridium"...

Fun To Drive And Ok On Gas, It Loves The Highways
Source: CarGurus

...She is an over hole in one, i love the 3.9 V6 and its ok on gas.
Would like to try it in a 6 speed only for 2006. 2007 had a different motor and 6 speed auto. I would buy G6 but they are not going to make Pontiac after 2009 or 2010...

Worst car I owned
Source: Cars.com

..."I have my G6 5 yrs Oct/10. Don't know if you already know this but the Pontiac G6's 2006 do not have child proof safety locks on the doors, this is in all 2006 models.
I have been doing everything to get a recall for this but it still hasn't happened.
The steering shaft & power steering has been fixed several times,
transmission lines were leaking last yr & had to be fixed, 2 wks ago my transmission went & had to be replaced & my car only has 83,000 km, my battery went Nov/2010.
This car is costing me a lot of money right now & I would not recommend this car to anyone."...

My Pontiac Rocks!
Source: CarGurus

...Build quality- steering column needed replacing already so not very happy there.
Everything else is pretty good considering its a V6. Gas mileage could be better. But the performance is good and the fun factor is definitely high. And the sunroof rocks...
