Most bang for the buck
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: everything, the interior is well thought out and put together.
The radio and phone option is great and very easy to use.
Cons: The vehicle could use more power, but thats what you get when you buy a I4 Overall: very nice ride both on the hwy and in the city; mpg is better than listed.
All controls for the radio and bluetooth are on the steering wheel, this makes hands free driving easier and much safer.
I found this car to be more bang for the buck- hands down better than any car built in Japan!!...

it won govt 5 star safety rating and motor trend rating...

Mercury Milan, Transportation of the Gods!
Source: MSN Autos

...From front to rear looks better than it's sister's the Lincoln MKZ or Ford Fusion Hybrid. Cons: Lacks home link (built in garage door opener) and A/C'ed front seats but who cares the price is right on the money. Overall: Like in Goldie Lock's and The Three Bears, Mercury Milan is just right in every way looks, cost to own, fuel economy, ease of use of all that new Technology I.E. Blue Tooth, Jute Box Hard drive music files, ETC. once you drive it you won't settle for anything less Milan is Molta Bene as they say in Italian and you will want to drive it on all roads that lead to home. 300 miles and new transmission!
Source: Edmunds

...I am giving this car low scores only because after one week the transmission would not shift correctly.
i took it back to the dealer and they gave me excuses about why they could not download a program from Ford to test the transmission.
After two days they finally decided that the car needed a new transmission.
I purchased this car and drove it only 5 days. Now it has been in the shop for 7 days.
I do like this car but I feel like its the same old bad Ford service. Before the trouble I would agree with the other positive reviews...

Great ride for the $$
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Actual gas mileage is higher than what is rated.
Regularly get 34-36 MPG when on road trips. Great car for a great price.
And it's American, from a company that didn't take taxpayer $$! Cons: Could have cooler looking wheels Overall: Highly recommended for a low cost, reliable, fuel efficient daily driver...

Comfortable and excellent handeling car
Source: Edmunds

...Car has been flawless during the first 4500 miles. Excellent gas mileage, smooth ride, and very comfortable ride.
4 cyl. and 6 speed transmission provides more than enough power on highway. No creaks, rattles, or any issues at all with this vehicle...

Mercury hit a 10 with this one.
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Everything! The best medium sized car we have owned to date.
Gas mileage even better than advertised. Comfortable, roomy interior, controls easy to hand, love the car to cell phone interface, and a trunk large enough to actually bring home the bacon in.
We love the "Tuxedo Black" paint on the car. It looks fantastic in the sunlight.
Cons: To date we have absolutely no complaints and get compliments on the car wherever we go. Overall: This Mercury gets a 10 out of 10 in our book. We are very happy with our purchase...

Great Family Ride
Source: MSN Autos

...I did expect that in a new $30K car. I know that is a silly complaint but if Ford/Lincoln/Mercury wants to stay on top, they need to pay attention to such tiny details as this. Overall: I replaced my excellent '08 Hyundai Elantra SE(had a light in the glove box) with this 2010 Mercury Milan because the Milan had features that I couldn't get from Hyundai. I was looking for leather interior and a sunroof in particular and for some reason the local Hyundai dealers didn't seem to be able to provide them. I also admire Ford Motor Corporation for not choosing the easy way out and borrowing...

Best Car I Have Ever Owned. Rides Like A Dream.
Source: CarGurus

...I traded my 2003 Lincoln Continental for the 2010 Milan Hybrid.
The Milan is a far better automobile. It is a little smaller inside, but not by much.
It drives much better than the Lincoln in the city and on the open highway the ride is firm and controlled with very little wind noise or engine noise.
I have gotten 45 mpg on the open road and once hit 60 mpg in town.
On the interstate I usually get around 36 mpg at 70 mph.
I biggest drawback is a small trunk due to the battery pack. The backup camera, blind spot system and the cross traffic alert systems are GREAT...

Excellent Choice
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: In my opinion the power of the four cylinder engine is better than I originally thought.
The interior fit and finish is excellent, I am over 6' tall the interior is roomy and comfortable.
Road noise is hardly noticeable. The Sync feature is great I'm enjoying the benefits ie (hands free cell phone) Cons: I just purchased this vehicle.
At this point I have nothing negative to report. Overall:
I travel a great deal for work I was looking for a vehicle that would be a good value and provide better than average fuel mileage along with strong reliability factor.

Why should I also consider these?

The two default choices in the mid-size sedan market are the Honda Accord, which is stylish and enormous inside, and the Toyota Camry, bland and conservative but-like the Milan-offered with a Hybrid model.

The Chevrolet Malibu may have the nicest interior of the group, and it's a notably better car than past iterations.

The Nissan Altima offers great handling and a manual gearbox with the four-cylinder engine, like the Milan, but not all-wheel drive-and the same comment applies to the sporty Mazda Mazda6.

While the Chrysler Sebring ladles on the features, its styling has not been well received and the interior is disappointing, with chintzy materials.

Its coarse powertrains and mundane driving experience give TheCarConnection.com little reason to recommend it over the well-rounded Milan.

2010 Chevrolet Malibu
The 2010 Chevrolet Malibu remains one of the strongest players in the mid-size sedan segments, though its rivals are certainly worth a look.

2010 Chrysler Sebring
An impressive feature set and a reasonable price can’t keep the 2010 Chrysler Sebring Convertible and sedan from mediocrity.

2010 Honda Accord Sedan
Honda hasn’t changed much about the Accord, and that’s a good thing. In base four-cylinder form, the 2010 Honda Accord feels sophisticated beyond its price range, and even as a $30,000 coupe or sedan, the top V-6 models offer compelling refinement, performance, and luxury.

2010 Mazda MAZDA6
The 2010 Mazda Mazda6 is the choice for driving enthusiasts who are also compelled to make a practical, family-friendly selection.

2010 Nissan Altima
The 2010 Nissan Altima remains one of the sportier choices among mid-size sedans, though if interior space matters, it might not feel as roomy as rivals.
