Posh is the WordSource: Cars.com...We are on our third one and, after shopping BMW, Infinity, and Acura for a luxury SUV, we keep coming back to the Lexus for the smoothness of ride and the feel of luxury you get in it's interior. It doesn't handle quite as well as the BMW but the ride is a bit softer, which we like. 0-60 acceleration for the 2009 model is listed at 7.3 seconds which I think is pretty good for this type of vehicle. The Porsche is faster and the infinity may be a bit faster too but, the Porsche is much more expensive and the infinity FX35 has a harsher ride. The interior, although well done, is not up to Lexus... |

Looks Good - Rides BadSource: MSN Autos...Pros: Great looking interior. Cons: Uncomfortable seats and ride. Overall: After a 250 trip I took my loss and traded. This may be a good auto for "around town" but too uncomfortable for the road... |

So SmoothSource: Cars.com...I can control everything with little effort and don't feel overwhelmed. The interior is luxurious but not so over the top where I don't feel like I can grab a burger while on the road. It is also the only car in my entire apprx 30 yr driving history that I have not had to sit on a pillow to see over the dash-sounds minor but it makes a difference. My only beef would be the the placement of the items in center dash 'gadgets'. Everything seems a little jumbled but I'm sure I'll grow more accustomed to it. The split back seats are a dream! I travel daily with my 3 dogs and it makes it super easy... |

Overall A Great Car With Good Performance.Source: CarGurus...The only thing I dislike about the car is the ride. Unless you're on a super smooth pavement, you have a "hard" ride; you feel every bump in the road... |

My dream carSource: MSN Autos
...Pros: I especially like the service I get from my local Lexus dealership--courteous, efficient and they often repair things not covered by warranty as a courtesy. |

While the Lexus RX 350 reigns supreme in delivering on luxury, it's more of a Costco-style everyman's luxury; it just doesn’t stand out the way some other vehicles in this class do.
Dynamically, the Acura MDX is a better-handling vehicle, and all of the other competitors listed offer available V-8 engine options that transmit much more power.
And the Audi Q7 and BMW X5 now have available turbodiesel engines, bringing better fuel economy with near-V-8 power.
If you need additional room for kids, the Cadillac, BMW, and Audi all come with small third-row seats.
