Dream car!
Source: MSN Autos

...I had buyers remorse due to scary economy but now I am just spoiled rotten! I can drive to my next appointment and talk into my cell instead of holding it or having a contraption on my ear. Can you say I am in LOVE! Car is incredible! Quiet, smooth, oh boy can it go zoooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmm! Cons: yet to be determined! Overall: pay the extra get the hybrid! bells and whistles are worth every dime! Lexus also knows how to treat their customer right! just a note for all those other dealers who didn't want to show a girl a car or deal! Come on guys wake up! We women can make the decisions too!...

Love my car!
Source: Cars.com

...I love the height and weight of the car; I feel very safe in it. I thought I would never get an SUV or crossover, but with the hybrid model, this car gets the exact same, good mileage I got with my Honda. Plus, it is well insulated for a nice, quiet ride. Downsides include the sunglass holder on the roof. It feels cheap and my sunglasses don't fit. I'm also not crazy about the location of the phone charger outlet. Because it is in the deep recess of the armrest storage bin, my chord is constantly getting lost there and it's a hassle to pull everything out to get it out. Otherwise, I couldn't...

Luxury with reliablity

..."This car has all the bells and whistles. The price tag is high but well worth the $.I smile when I drive by the gas stations and feel good I am doing a small part in keeping green.
This is definitely not a mom car but performs like one. Get the black interior black exterior it is sweet."...

Not such a gasoline saver.
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Stylish and "sexi". Easy to handle. Good quality build vehicle.
Cons: Poor gas milage, no power mirrors in "full option" package.
No sound @ video parking assistant. Overall: I don't understand, how these cars are tested.
Driving every day from Howard Beach to Ridgewood NY (5 miles) for 15 minutes each direction in medium traffic.
Stoping at 3-4 lights, I can't get better than 20MPG.
I'm not agresive driver, driving old lady style, and always on economy mode. I don't understand, how enybody can make 30MPG on this car in the city...

Overall: The best car I have ever had ( I am 58 years young and have had dozens of cars over the last 42 years )...

Fun gadgets that usually work well. Cons: The i-pod adapter does not resume songs or audiobooks at the smae place. Overall: Excellent vehicle except for the i-pod problem...

Why should I also consider these?

Finding comparable vehicles to the 2010 Lexus RX 450h isn't an easy task, but two German SUVs and a downscale Toyota come closest to the Lexus' fuel economy and interior room.

The Mercedes-Benz ML320 CDI sports that maker's BlueTEC diesel engine and gets highway fuel economy in the mid-20s, while offering a plush and expensive five-seat cabin.

The coming VW Touareg diesel is similar in mission to the Benz, minus the coveted badge and brand name; those wanting a slightly sprightlier driving feel might also like the Audi Q7, which late in the 2009 model year comes in a fuel-efficient TDI version.

Toyota's own Highlander Hybrid is another alternative; it's substantially cheaper than the new Lexus hybrid, while offering a similar powertrain and additional seating for two more passengers—with blocky, unrefined looks and loose, unengaging handling.

2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
The 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid offers the same room and amenities that the nonhybrid Highlander does, only with better fuel economy and the badge of honor that comes with driving something that's trying to be green.

2008 Volkswagen Touareg
The 2008 Volkswagen Touareg has more toughness than most mid-size SUVs for heavy-duty towing and off-road needs yet on-the-road comfort doesn’t suffer.
