There is no substitute if you have deep pockets.Source: MSN Autos...change the diff and transmission fluids every 15,000 miles, get tune-ups every 15,000 miles, and change all the belts and hoses (including thermostat and water pump) every 50,000 miles. By following that simple maintenance regimen, you should experience a minimum amount of problems. Overall: From my experience, Land Rovers are some of the best built vehicles on the planet. Love my Range RoverSource: Kelley Blue Book...The GL had neither leather seating nor Bluetooth standard, for nearly 70K !!! The interior of the RR is one of the best I've seen, and the Harman Kardon stereo is phenomenal (710 Watts). The LX is a great ride, but it lacked the RR's feeling of substance, classiness and craftsmanship, IMHO. As far as reliability, I've had my RR for a little over a year and I've not had a single problem -- I hope this continues. The RR has a feeling of safety and solidity, and I wouldn't have my family in anything else. I joked with my salesperson, saying that, "it should be illegal to sell these things... |

2008 LR2 HSE with Cold Climate, SAT, bluetoothSource: MSN Autos...Cons: Nothing! Overall: Excellent sporty SUV that looks small but is larger than you think when you get in. The military-spec Mercedes-Benz G-Class is just as upright and can be nearly as plush.
The Lexus LX 570 is essentially a trimmed-out Toyota Land Cruiser, and off-road performance is equal, if not superior, to that of the Range Rover—but the LX 570 is a bit more conservative and lacks the personality of the other vehicles.
The Cadillac Escalade is more of an on-road vehicle, but it's flashier in an urban (or urbane) way.
However, none of the vehicles listed quite match the Range Rover’s savoir faire.
