KIA Spectra '09
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Price under CARS was great! Mileage better than expected, getting 30 mpg overall.
Seats quite comfortable. CD, sound is good. Like the left "foot rest", angled and flat.
Trunk is roomy for a small car. Engine seems smooth and peppy.
Has some power if I need it on the freeway, unlike the Rio, or Accent.
Cons: Adjusting the steering wheel where it is most comfortable blocks the gauges for me.
Miss not having an amps gauge. Overall: Great little car for the money. Might have preferred the Ford Focus, but inflated prices drove me elsewhere...

What Detroit should be selling.
Source: Cars.com

..."My wife and I purchased our 2009 Spectra5 three months ago.
Great little/big car. By this I mean a small package with lots of interior space.
The fuel economy has been great considering it's a stick and I have a lead foot. The best thing about the car (it's red) is that it gets noticed...

2009 Kia Spectra - What a find!
Source: Cars.com

..."i found this website by accident and the car we ended up buying was the first on the list - very low mileage, 2 owners, no accidents, great condition.
we drove from PA to Ohio to get it - well worth the trip.
very few body blemishes, immaculate interior - super value for the price. great car for our daughter at college, especially with kia's warranty."...

Great lil car!
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: I was very impressed with the Spectra after renting one last Thanksgiving.
It has a very smooth ride, has good power, very comfortable seats!
After my last ride bit automotive heaven, what sold me on the Kia was the styling, ride, and fantastic model close out rebate.
Cons: Rear visibility is not the greatest, but then again I am still getting used to my vehicle after approximately 2 weeks. Overall: Highly recommended!...

Worst purchase of my life!
Source: Cars.com

..."I bought this car about 9 months ago and to be completely honest, it was the worst car I could have ever bought.
The acceleration is horrible, the seats are very uncomfortable, the interior is boring.
Now the main reason I hate this car is from day one after driving off the lot,
the passenger side airbag would work only if it wanted to regardless if someone was sitting in the seat, I weigh 240 ibs and most of the time it wouldn't turn on for me.
Also, the estimated 27 mpg is a lie, I've been getting at most 19 mpg on a full tank of gas, and I mainly drive back and forth...

Keep this car in Korea
Source: Cars.com

..."Lets start; poor acceleration, noisy from stop, loved the transmission kick down 2nd to 1st, quite a thunk.
Heavy vehicle handling at slow speeds, some body roll at higher speeds.
Quality paint job that is easily seen when somebody "keys" vehicle.
Chrome on the interior door handles-- one must be joking.
Shift from OD to 4th consistent, this thing shift at any slight uphill in the road at 60 mph.
SAVE your $$and buy a used 2-3yrs old Toyota, Acura or anything else, as this is not even good enough for a rental"...

You won't regret it!
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Preppy manual gearbox. Gets on the highway with personality.
Very clear and bright interior. Good visibility forward and sideways.
Big control buttons. Lots of storage places. 28 mpg city.
(I drive lively!). Lots of leg room front and back.
Cons: Seats could have more lateral support. Overall: Well equiped, nice ride, bright and clear.
5yrs/100.000 mile warranty is very good! This is my fourth Kia and they just get better. The Forte replaces it and it looks just as good...

Boring little car.
Source: MSN Autos

...Cons: Absolutely no power. The gas pedal needs to be pushed to the floor just to keep up with the rest of traffic. The automatic transmission never quite knows when to shift appropriately, which can cause really jerky acceleration from time to time. Not what I would call a looker, either. Overall: I drove this car for a few weeks as a rental. It got great gas mileage and didn't give me any real problems. I felt it was really underpowered and it wasn't much fun to drive. The interior was set up in a way that left me feeling disconnected from the car. The Spectra is definitely for the person...

Another winner
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: About as good as you can get for the price. Fit and finish are excellent, mechanically sound and pleasant to drive.
Cons: The view out the back window is not real good, the trunk line being too high but other than that, nothing so far.
Overall: This is my second Kia. My last one was an '04 Optima that I bought used and traded it with just at 100,000 miles on it totally trouble free.
The Sephia is a little smaller and not quite as stable in cross winds but more than tolerable.
I shopped for Honda, Chevy and Toyota but this turned out to be the best deal overall and I...
