Great price,geat ride
Source: Edmunds

...Bought the 09 Serreno new, Vehicle go 400 miles or more every tank, runs great and has good power.
Rear seat leg room is better than other suv's this size.
only thing I would add is a foot operated emergency brake and do away with the hand operated one this would add a little more room. Also would add a compass and outside temp. feature to all models...

I Love My Sorento!
Source: CarGurus

...Excellent man, I couldn't afford the Toyota or Audi
so my friend said like "Hey why not get a try on a Sorento? " and I immediately went to the agent and reserved one after the test drive almost immediately !
. I would recommend this car to every potential buyer(s)!...

Solid Comfort & Go Anywhere
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Excellent ride, go-anywhere 2 WD, 4 WD Low and High Range drive, solid, steel frame chassis (not unitbody) ...
built like a Hummer, looks like a Lexus, best deal on 4 wheels in its class when I bought it at the end of '09.
Cons: Pesky hand brake positioned on center console, on left side, wight where my right leg/knee rests. Overall: A very nice vehicle, with a great warranty, that I expect to keep at least 25 years...

Decent for the price
Source: Edmunds

...We got a 2009 Kia sorento used. It really is a nice running car.
It drives very well for only a 6cylinder. Plenty of get up and go power.
The interior is kinda cheap. We have had no problems other than the rear differential going bad.
Luckily for us it was under warranty. I suggest keeping a head up on the maintenance or else they may not cover parts that go bad...

Why should I also consider these?

The Sorento, which soldiers on for 2009, is part of a seemingly dying class of trucklike mid-size sport-utility vehicles.

The Ford Explorer used to be the best seller in the class, but its popularity is fading and it’s slated to soon be replaced with a more carlike vehicle.

The Mercury Mountaineer is nearly identical to the Explorer; both offer three rows of seating and optional V-8 engines.

The GMC Envoy and its Chevrolet TrailBlazer twin are both very outdated and will soon be discontinued.

The Dodge Durango and Chrysler Aspen are similar vehicles that offer V-8 engines and four-wheel drive.

However there’s a wild card: Kia’s own Borrego, which is even burlier and more trucklike than the Sorento, yet brings better standards of refinement.

However, the Borrego’s (lower) fuel economy and (larger) size are likely a step in the opposite direction for those who might consider the Sorento.

2008 Chrysler Aspen
There are few compelling reasons to choose the 2008 Chrysler Aspen over slightly larger, roomier competitors like a well-equipped Ford Expedition or GMC Yukon.

2008 Dodge Durango
If you plan to tow, a 2008 Dodge Durango with a V-8 will work nearly as well as a Tahoe or Expedition, at a lower price.

2008 Ford Explorer
As the perennial best-selling truck-based SUV, the Ford Explorer is still the one to beat.

2009 GMC Envoy
The 2009 GMC Envoy is only somewhat suited to hauling passengers from point A to point B. But if you tow frequently, the Envoy might still make sense.

2009 Kia Borrego
The 2009 Kia Borrego isn’t the type of vehicle that’s especially popular or fashionable at this time, but it’s a home run against the competition.
