Destroyer of Pilots and ExplorersSource: MSN Autos...Plenty of flat-floor room with 3rd row down. Great towing vehicle as well. Timeless good looks; I do not expect it to look dated in 5 years. Did I mention the power of the V8? Cons: Ride is rougher than the competition. Had to have SatNav replaced under warranty. Very little storage with 3rd row up. Overall: Had never heard of it when we arrived at Kia to examine the Sorrento earlier this summer (2011). Drove the car and loved it. When I learned I could have it for half the price of a Pilot or Explorer, I was all-in. I hope to keep this car for at least two decades... |

Huge MISTAKESource: Cars.com...The radio dies first, then five days later, the car does not start until the battery is "jumped off." Also, the air conditioner has intermittently failed to cool unless the car and air are turned off and back on, apparently resetting something. The dealership has absolutely no clue what is wrong. I begged them to replace the battery both times and they have refused to try that to see if it is a cure. Instead, they are keeping the car for an indeterminate time without any strategy for diagnosis or repair. Eveyone has been cooperative and polite, but completely ineffective. I WILL NEVER BUY... |

Pleased with our BorragoSource: MSN Autos...Power from V6 would leave most cars in the dust.. Owned for about a month so far we love it.. Mileage is a little less than our 09 KIA sedona we traded but not that bad.. The 278 horses need to eat.. Wish I horse traded a little better as we bought a leftover 09 would have bought the hands free phone option.. but I am happy with the deal.. Cons: I am 6ft tall my leg rests against the console and aches on long drives. The rear seats are not that easy to get into.. and are for kids not adults. Realy needs more comfortable steering wheel the leather wrapped wheel should be standard. also the... |

2009 Kia Borrego LX Who pays 30 grand for junk?Source: Cars.com...The CD player doesn't eject CD's properly, DO NOT GO 4 WHEELING in this vehicle, this is a pseudo SUV. THE TRACTION CONTROL COMES ON EVERY TIME when leaving hard turns for example, leaving a steep drive way you have to gently gas the car other wise TC will come on and cut the gas... Also, The comfort is harsh and the steering is as boaty as a 60's buick. Please save your money, go for the Honda Pilot or a german built SUV.... DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. THE v6 alone drains gas.... 20 dollars isnt enough to reach half tank. POOR BUILD QUALITY. My friends nick name this car the "gerbil" because of how... |

Kia likes to present the Borrego as a luxury SUV "contender." Experts at TheCarConnection.com think Kia has not so much created an alternative to Lexus, Infiniti, or Cadillac, but delivered an excellent alternative to the fleet of well-known body-on-frame SUVs.
The 2009 Kia Borrego provides slightly more interior room than these competitors and, with the V-8, more power than any of them.
The standard seating for seven is an advantage over several of these SUVs, but the Honda Pilot can carry one more.
The Borrego doesn't present itself as a serious off-roader, as it lacks locking differentials and other off-road goodies to compete against the trail-rated Jeeps.
Kia's price advantage is more toward the base vehicles where the Borrego's level of standard equipment exceeds the others.
