I love this jeep!
Source: Cars.com

..."I previously owned a '99 jeep wrangler which I totaled on a slippery road.
I knew that I would not be happy with anything else but a jeep so I found this 2004 wrangler on the internet and instantly fell in love.
The next day I went and test drove it and then I bought it! I absolutely love it!I will forever be a jeep babe!"...

..."Come on, what car do you know can go 65 on the highway then go up rocks 3 feet high.
In the winter you just click on the 4 wheel and you'll never get stuck.
From mud puddles to snow and ice, its the best car ever.
Not the best for highway driving or the average commuter, but if you need to haul, or go off road it's great. Take the top down int he summer and get all the girls to ;)"...

...Acceleration- Enough to put you back into your seat.
Braking- Very sharp, ABS works smoothly. Handling- Good on account of its massive tyres and short wheel base.
Build Quality- Solid as a rock. Offroad Capability- Handles big dunes with ease and climbs over rocks without loosing any pace. Fun Factor- 5/5...

Wrangler X for x-citing

..."Other than brake work at 13000 miles I have had no trouble, but plenty of pleasure from my Wrangler X.
It's fun and the looks I get are a bonus feature. Excellent off road and in snow. I have the hardtop so noise is not much of a problem."...

Most fun You'll Have Driving as an Adult
Source: Cars.com

..."I'm reliving my teenage years driving down the road with the windows off and having Music blasting in my ears from the cool sound bar overhead.
(It has to loud to be able to hear it driving over 40MPG.)."...

Jeep Capable

...Good onroad, due to supercharger. Loves offroad, extremely capable on both.
Slow acceleration on the highway onramp, but braking and manueverablity help to make for it's short comings. The fact that it's a four door helps for cargo and friends...

Jeepers Creepers

..."This is my second jeep in less that a year. I had a 04 "x" model, and moved up to a 08 Rubicon.
I love it. The extra two doors give so much more room.
It has the large off road tires on it, which ride nice, but not great.
I would recommend a second set of all season for the summer.
So far no problems, but ive only had it a week, but I love this truck. Everyone should own a wrangler in there life time. What a blast to drive."...

Wrangler X- My First New Car
Source: Cars.com

...It is OK in sand. My suspension is getting rougher the older it gets. I had to have my top replaced and front axle seals replaced under warranty. The back seat is cramped. It takes a solid 3-5 minutes to get the soft top on and off. We looked at the hard top models, but they looked unfinished in the inside and we figured we would never take the top off! I have also noticed some bad welds on my vehicle. It has the aerodynamics of a McDonald's Happy Meal on windy days...which can be a bit shaky. This is not a family car, you need to come up with creative ways to pack things into this vehicle. A...

Why should I also consider these?

There's nothing directly comparable to the 2008 Jeep Wrangler, but some compact trucks come very close to the same performance envelope.

The Dodge Dakota offers four-door models, V-8 power, and four-wheel drive.

The Nissan Frontier has a big V-6 option, a four-door body style, and a unique canvas sunroof that opens its cabin to the elements.

The Nissan Xterra is a four-door sport-ute with a rugged look and off-road versions that offer some, but not all, the Wrangler's rocky-road prowess.

2008 Nissan Xterra
For active people who need to tow or haul a lot of gear or go off-road, the 2008 Nissan Xterra is one of the best—and best-looking—choices.
