Great convertible for cruising in styleSource: MSN Autos...However, no major issues with engine and transmission. Dealerships like to cheat. They diagnosed a traction and ABS control fault message and stated I need a complete module for $ 4,500.-- !!! I double checked after the iniital shock and found the fuse for the ABS pump motor blown. After replacing the $ 0.25 fuse everything was fine. Overall: It is a great car overall. I like it a lot. Of course there are better and more "perfect" convertibles out there. But the everyday usability is great. Eventhough the car is no 10 years old it still looks and drives like new (thanks to some TLC)... |

Best Luxury ConvertibleSource: MSN Autos...The car is very attractive and turns heads everywhere. The interior has high quality feel and looks very durable for a high end interior. Navigation and control system is much better than other high end cars I have owned. It does have that wonderful British feeling to it. Cons: The high cowl makes parking a little harder, but it does create a cozy enviroment. Overall: It is the most complete luxury convertible I have ever driven. It makes you feel good to drive it. Overall look is beautiful and the detail is restrained and very elegant. Color combination are very well done and all control are... |

timeless beautySource: MSN Autos...the center console beverage clip breaking, dash rattles, moisture in my headlights,[third set], dash lights burning out, a transmission replacement, suspension components, and h20 pump impellar breaking, and like anything else, having extremely poor dealer/customer support and concern other than wanting to take mine in trade and selling me a new one, after quoting me a small ridiculous fortune to repair. i highly recommend a second opinion/quote with any repair needed, as i have saved thousands by doing so. Overall: a gorgeous car with exclusivity, but the frustration that after the purchase... |

The easy comparisons to the Jaguar XK and XKR hail from Germany.
The Mercedes-Benz SL convertible hardtops can be spiced up to AMG performance, but still feel boulevard-smooth.
They're heavy, and COMAND's entertainment controller mocks first-timers who try to dive into its complex chain of menus.
The BMW 6-Series is even heavier and less happy about it; BMW's sending it to the spa, we hear, and the next 6-Series should emerge late this year, lighter and simpler than the current version.
If you're alternative enough to choose an XK, you might consider a Chevrolet Corvette.
It's never been built better, handling is world-class, and the ZR1 pushes its luck at the 200-mph limit.
At opposite poles of the sports car world to the XK is the Porsche 911.
It's relentlessly efficient, ruthlessly grippy, iconic-but far cooler to the touch than the Jag.
