Cluck For Your BuckSource: MSN Autos
...Pros: I would say the styling of the vehicle to include the exterior lines and the quality of the material in the interior are it's best features. |

Some good and some bad...Source: Cars.com...Also liked it's pep and quiet smooth coasting at high highway speeds, although somewhat gutless in passing. What I didn't like was putting in new front brakes, timing belt, release bearing and clutch all within 88,000 km's!! Luckily, most were covered under the warranty... but now that it's up, I'm not feeling very secure in it's reliability judging by past experience. Would I buy another Santa Fe? Possibly, as the 2008's are sure to have been improved and fine tuned since it's early days. In summary, I'm gonna miss my Santa Fe... but am looking forward to moving on to a superior vehicle."... |

Pretty hard to beat.Source: MSN Autos...Took several trips to Arizona White Mtns and to DenverColorado. Very comfortable ride. Would trade for a new one again. Great quality and value. Dealer has been great about fixing problem with cruise control switch and a door that rattled. The 303 ci V6 much better than the small V6 I had in the 2005 model. Responsive as I'll ever need. I like the 5 speed transmission and ability to change the shift modes in the mountains. Cons: I am a somewhat disappointed with road noise from suspension on less than smooth roads. I think that Hyundai could do a whole lot more with sound-conditioning with... |

Great SUV/CUVSource: MSN Autos...Not fond of leather seats, but with the Limited, that's what you get. I do a fair amount of mountain driving - high speed and lots of curves. I have always had a problem feeling the "tippiness" - but not with the Santa Fe. Beats both 4Runners & Yukons for making me feel safe. All in all, it's a great vehicle and gets terrific gas mileage which is important to me. Cons: I wish the doors locked automatically when the vehicle was started. Overall: Glad I was talked into buying a Hyundai!... |

The 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe lands in an interesting middle ground between more compact crossover SUVs such as the Toyota RAV4, and mid-sizers such as the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot.
The Santa Fe is easier to park than those mid-sizers while boasting a more settled ride on the highway than the compact competition--though beware that the firm suspension is choppier than the norm on rough city streets.
The Santa Fe's third-row seat feels bigger than the one offered in the RAV4 and works in a pinch for kids.
