..."Just purchased this beauty and traded in a 2001 LS430 that drove like a dream.
This Equus is some car. Stunning at night all lit up and fun to drive in the teck mode shifting after 4000RPMS takes your breath away.
Lots of toys to play with and a great sonund system. Presidental leg room in the rear makes you want to sit back and have someone else drive you around town."...

Equus = Lexus - $35K
Source: MSN Autos

...Overall: Always wanted a Lexus 460L, .. but couldn't justify the expense. Took the Equus for a test drive and could not believe that the experience was so "Lexus-like", ... yet the cost was 33% less! I am replacing the Hyundai emblem on the trunk with the Equus emblem (which I think Hyundai should have done from the start) so there will be not a single refernece to Hyundai on or in the car (don't think Lexus kept the Toyota emblem when they started?). Have been asked by a number of folks what is an "Equus", .. as they are quite taken with the car's appeal yet unfamiliar with the name...

Excellent value for the price, amazing deal
Source: Edmunds

...Family recently purchased the car. We've seen the previous generation Equus and saw how popular it was in Korea and decided to give this newer Equus model a try.
Two words: Amazing improvement. This model cannot be compared with the previous models.
The interior design improved greatly, in fact, Im actually pretty satisfied with the interior improvement.
There's even a fridge! The rear seats have plenty of space, they definitely added more space back there because the previous models were a bit uncomfortable if u were in the back seat.
Car is very quiet, has plenty of...

Luxurious but not Brandy

Exceeded expectations

..."The EQUUS is a solid car feel and yet has the power to get you moving.
Styling is eye catching. In fact, this is the first car that zi have owned where strangers have approached me to inquire about the car !"...

Exceeds all expectations
Source: Cars.com

..."Incredible is the only word to describe this vehicle.
All the safety features and designs, makes it so the car almost drives itself.
The car when in cruise control will literally slow down and stop itself at a comfortable rate when traffic slows and stops in front of you.
The ride is equal to, or better than all the luxury competitive models we test drove.
The price for luxury and performance will not stay here long.
My families comfort and safety are assured in this vehicle, and it gives me absolute peace of mind to this purchase. Highly recommend to everyone!"...

The Ultimate Car
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Had the car for about two months, I think I like it better every time I get in it.
I have own a lot of cars in my 66 years and I do think this is the best one yet, but I'm still learning how to work every thing on it.
Love all the safety function on it, seats, the way it handles,
smooth ride, power, to much to like about it, hope after a few years I still feel the same way if I keep it that long I have always been a fool for new cars but I think I have found one to stay with.
Love it Cons: So far no cons, only thing I will change
is the hyundai on the truck all...

It tries to be a Lexus LS460 - but not even close
Source: MSN Autos

...For a luxary car I expected touch screen, but it was not there - it is a manual, select one letter at a time and press a button. Many major streets are not recgonized by the GPS system. No aux power in the rear - hard to charge or use a pad or phone. Heck, my Toyota corolla has aux power in the back. Overall: This is "poor mans" Lexus LS 460, but Lexus has nothing to worry about. The Equus needs a lot of work to even be in the same league. I did not buy the car, not spending 55K for an attempt at a Lexus knockoff...

A lot of car for the money
Source: Edmunds

...We were looking for a little higher level of luxury and comfort than our 2006 Infiniti M35.
We weren't personally drawn to Mercedes, BMW, Audi, or Jaguar. As Infiniti and Lexus owners we test-drove the M37, the LS460. But after driving the Equus, it was our favorite...

Hyundai Equus Signature
Source: Edmunds

...I took delivery of My Signature On Jan 7. It has been a great car to drive.
On a trip over the mountains it got 23.3 on regular.b On a trip over flat terrain it go 27,6 mpg.
To all the biychers out there, my other car is a Mercedes S Class.
The ammenities are the same except the Equus does not have a power trunk lid or automatic door closers. I feel like I just saved $40000...

Why should I also consider these?

Hyundai's rapid climb up the social ladder can't be good for Lexus, which did the same thing 20 years ago and now has a direct competitor for its pretty, well-crafted LS sedan.

Like the Equus, the LS is still a little benign compared with uberluxury sedans like the Jaguar XJ, a stunning piece of glitz with much less rear-seat head room than it once had.

The big German sellers are in the same size class, but it's hard to think of someone stepping down from the BMW 7-Series or the Mercedes-Benz S-Class into an Equus if they're at all brand-snobbish--and the same holds true for the Audi A8, which has fab features like Google Earth maps, but a completely forgettable look.

2012 Audi A8
The 2012 Audi A8 models might still be fighting for the most prestige among flagships, but they're in the top tier from inside, thanks to their impeccable cabin, innovative cabin tech, and a lean, athletic driving feel.

2012 BMW 7-Series
The 2012 BMW 7-Series is the Bavarian automaker's flagship model, and it cleverly wraps vast interior space, industry-leading tech, and the expected BMW fleet-footedness.

2012 Jaguar XJ
Cutting its ties with its illustrious and not so charmed past, the 2012 Jaguar XJ now rocks a swinging style that really suits its dynamic handling.

2012 Lexus LS 460
The 2012 Lexus LS sedans combine executive-class interior appointments and long-haul comfort with noteworthy tech features; but driving enjoyment is missing.

2011 Mercedes-Benz S Class
From earth-friendly to exclusive and exotically fast, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz S-Class does it all in superb comfort.
