Funnest car I've ever ownedSource: Cars.com
..."Had to put a tranny in it at 100K, really designed as a grand touring car, aka high speed endurance racing which is why 3rd on the five speed does 128mph. |

Sharp Enthusiast's SportscarSource: MSN Autos...The Z4 also has more. The S2000 and Elise have little by comparison, but this is in keeping with their more flingable lightweight sportscar mission. Limited Torque: Also in keeping with the car's essence (as it is in the Elise), and guaranteed to keep you involved as a driver if you want to keep it on the boil. XM Radio Option Pricing: Almost $600 to add the factory XM option to the "XM Ready" radio is outrageous when so many cars include this from the factory. Overall: CONCLUSION: Over the paqst 8 years I'v owned the following cars: a '97 Corvette with a 500hp stroker motor, a '99 996... |

Jones's S2000 reviewSource: MSN Autos...Nothing else in its price range can compare! Cons: Absolutely nothing. Overall: the S2000 is a mean little sports car with great acceleration and handling. unlike most cars of its size it has a substantial amount of trunk room. I've actually been able to fit a set of golf clubs in the trunk along with two backpacks and two jackets at the same time. It's got the power to smoke anything in the price range of the car, including mustangs, mazdas, and anything else that comes its way, even more expensive "sports cars". The S2000 is the best car around for the price... |

I love my CLUBMAN!Source: MSN Autos...The Clubman is a great car, I am 6'2" and 250lbs, and I have to move the driver seat up several notches so that I can reach the clutch! There is plenty of back seat room, and the "barndoors" are a nice practical touch! I am now "emotionally" attached to this vehicle! Cons: Only that I had a High Pressure Fuel Pump issue in the beginning, now fixed, and no problems since! Tires are stiffer than used to - they are run flats after all! Overall: I set out looking at small sportscars, I looked at S2000, Miata, and Honda Accord coupe - all 6 speeds. I could not fit into the S2000 and the... |

To fast to fun.Source: MSN Autos...Pros: The look and the feel, it drives great. The S2000 drive like a race car with out the coast in gas. Cons: Not one thing. Overall: This car handles like a dearm on and off the interstate... |

Hardcore drivers with track experience onlySource: MSN Autos...By design? One can offset it with a bit of trailing throttle. My previous vehicle of 21 years was a 1987 Rx7 Sport model, which had a hard stiff ride. So, the transition to the S2000 CR was not much of a transition. If a potential buyer has not experienced track time in a track car (e.g. Formula Ford), then the CR is not the car for them. It is noisy at freeway speeds intentionally due to the absence of insulation. It is hardcore and a tuner's dream straight from the factory. There are some who claim they can build a better S2000 on their own. Maybe, but it will cost more in time and money... |

My Silver BulletSource: MSN Autos...These are all minor gripes that in no way diminishes the overall ownership experience. Overall: After being somewhat let down with my 350Z Enthusiast, I traded it in for the S2000 and could not be happier. The "Z" had always been on my radar since the 80's and I have to tell you that the 350Z did not live up to my expectations. It was an excellent performer with world-class engine and chassis but it didn't have any soul. It reminded me of a project car, sharing too many parts with other cars in the Nissan/Infiniti family. Additionally, I had my heart set on the base model Porsche Boxster but... |

The Mazda Miata is also a basic, elemental sports car with a four-cylinder engine and a manual transmission; a new retractable-hardtop version offers all-season driving for its fans.
The Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky are fraternal twins from General Motors; they come with less-refined four-cylinder engines, including optional turbocharged models, and they also have great handling, but their cargo space is extremely limited as in the S2000.
Both the Mazda Miata and the Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky offer better interior room and a suppler ride than the Honda S2000.
