2003 1.8T Beetle

...Pros: Fit and finish, gas mileage, ergonomics, value, performance.
Cons: Stock brake pads, rear self deploying spoiler Overall: Great car for the money, I am very impressed sine VW put the turobcharged engine in the car. Very deceptive acceleration...

LOVE FIAT
Source: MSN Autos

...I think the fait has plenty of room. Had myself 5*7 femaile my husband 5*9 and his two friends in the back they were 6*0 and 5*11! We drove about an hour away and were very surprised at the room. Seats fold down in the back when you need to load something. I loaded a folding table, full length mirrior in the trunk along with a lamp. Everything fit no problem, Love the gas mileage. I get about 42mpg on the highway. Cons: Nothing. Overall: I would say this is a great car for someone that lives in the city. Very easy to park. Comes in 14 diffrent colors. What's not to love. Have doubts? Check it...

Versatile and Fun to Drive
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Very usable space...easily converts to cargo...especially nice fit and finish both inside and out.
Cons: I little tight in the rear seat...especially if you have a tall person in seat in front of you.
Other than that, a very good car. Overall: Terrific, functional car...very smooth ride for its size...quiet too...

The Lemonmobile
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Coomfortable, can fit the family and everything else in it.
Good gas mileage. Cons: Too many costly repairs. Needed front and rear brakes and now needs new power steering pump, hoses and due to leakage all new rack & pinion steering.
It's a lemon as far as I'm concerned. Overall: See Above...

Initial Quality means It's junk when you drive it off the lot
Source: MSN Autos

...I grabbed the HORRIBLE steering wheel, sharp 10 and 2 o'clock nodules that dug into my fingers! Tried to find the seat adjustments, NOT intuitive. I notice reviewers raved about the interior design - it LOOKS nice, but it's all cheap plastics and bad layout. Honda Fit again beat it by a mile in quality of materials, layout and ergonomics. I started the engine. 7398 miles on the car. THE ENGINE SPUTTERED!!! I thought uggh... I am NOT buying a FORD.... but drove it out of the rental car agency anyway - running late, and I thought new car, what can go wrong? Accelerated ok. No speed demon, but...

Great Car
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: I bought this car used with 60K miles and am not over 160K and no problems.
Just barely replaced clutch. The car has been completely reliable and only minor maintannence.
It handles well and has surprising speed for such a small engine.
At 6'6" you would never think I would fit, but I can actually move the seat back to far!
Cons: Clutch was expensive to replace, but with that being the only major repair in 100K miles, no big deal. Overall: Buy it if you need a good transportation car, mine has been great...

#8
The Ultimate Jetta
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Recaro seats, 16v engine, nice interior, 4 wheel disc-brakes, built in germany, handling, reliability, fun to drive, style and look of the car.
Cons: Trunk (snowboard, bikes don't fit, bikes must be dismantled), electric windows.
Overall: I have a lot of fun driving and racing this car. It's a fun car to begin with in autocrossing events and modifications are cheap (except for the 16v engine)...

Fun, Fun, Fun and Great on Gas!
Source: MSN Autos

...The interior proved its value when an unfortunate bird got locked in the car one day and coated the interior with bird s--t. A little amonia and water and it came off the fabric like it was glass. It is definitely a great fun ride esp with the manual transmission. My husband preferred it to his Lexus. Cons: I would have preferred leather seats as an option. Heater is a little slow in warming up. Would like the option of satellite radio.Floor mat came loose within a year. Overall: From my experience my Fit has been an unbelievable value with the incredible gas mileage I get. It's cute and zips...

Wolfsburg Lover
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Great power from the 1.8 turbo engine! Just make sure you get the 5 or 6 speed manual and not the Tiptronic.
Get the revs up and this thing takes off like a rocket!
Also, the materials and fit and finish are outstanding in a car at this price.
BBS wheels on the Wolfsburg are sweet! Cons: Tight back-seat legroom, but I knew that going in.
Overall: I've heard about poor reliability ratings for the Jettas, but after about a year and a half with this car I haven't had any problems at all.
For a great looking car and a lot of bang for the buck I would certainly...
