Broken Engine BoltsSource: Edmunds...While driving a few days ago 2 engines bolts broke. Luckily I was not killed. The Go Honda dealer in Westminster , CO said it could be fixed and he cannot let me break the lease because he would loose money and he would go out of business if everybody could just return cars. My car is not a lemon. I would have to have 5 similar occurrences, The managers name is Eric. I am supposed to drive this car with my 2 grandchildren, no way in hell. The staff at the dealership are rude, insensitive to say the least, including the overall manager Matt Hall. Honda needs to recall this model before someone... |

How could the maker of Accura have made this thing?Source: Edmunds...The more I drive it, the more I dislike it. The ride is awful. Its harsh. It pitches, bobs, darts...its tiring to drive. Had the struts checked, they're fine. The seats are poorly bolstered. Controls are wanky. Can't get into the tailgate without a key. Less room than you might think. Noisy. Apparently designed to look "correct"... and that's all. Switching from Subaru Outback to this thing is a disaster. I want to replace it with a Volvo or Mazda 6 wagon. Just as much room, and a way better drive. Don't care about a couple of MPG at this point!... |

The 2012 Honda CR-V is one of the more refined vehicles in its class, but especially in its latest iteration, it isn't quite as enjoyable to drive, or nicely trimmed, as some of its competition.
The Toyota RAV4 is a longtime rival, and it comes with a choice of four-cylinder or V-6 engines, plus an available third-row seat; especially with the V-6, it feels sprightly compared to the CR-V, though its styling is dated.
The also-dated Ford Escape is also due to be replaced by an all-new 2013 model, but the 2012 Escape manages to carry over with a pretty well laid-out interior and decent comfort.
The Chevrolet Equinox comes with a fuel-efficient direct-injection engine and six-speed automatic transmission, and its interior is quiet and refined, but its seating and packaging isn't as versatile as that of the CR-V.
The Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage are somewhat smaller than the CR-V but also have a gas-stingy direct-injection four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic; they're simply not as spacious inside, though.
The somewhat larger Kia Sorento and related Hyundai Santa Fe are other alternatives.
