Worst Car I' ve ever owned!
Source: MSN Autos

...Overall: my suburban was on its 3rd transmission before i got rid of it a month ago. It was not over-worked in any way, it towed a regular size bass boat and drove through the mountains of North Carolina. Nothing major. The Rear Airconditioner leaked all over the trunk and made the car smell musty, the dealer ship couldnt fix it, when I finally crawled underneath it I found it was only a cloged drain hole. There was a problem with a computer that had something to do with the gas tank and it would randomly not let the car go over 30 miles per hour. And last, the reason that made me finally get...

Best long distance vehicle.
Source: Cars.com

...The boys would prefer that seat though. We had the rear end bearings replaced at 40K miles and water pump at 60K, we now have 80K on it. Very comfortable and secure, great for dense interstate traffic. Will run 80mph all day and doesn't seem to work at it. Not great for narrow alleys and parallel parking! If you drive long distances with four or more people this is the machine. We got a solid 18mpg for all our driving. On the way home from out West we did 900 miles in one day, the only one with a sore butt was the toddler in a car seat. Ours is a 2WD and that helped give a soft ride."...

Beware the diesel!
Source: MSN Autos

...each replacement has the same no-warnings breakdown within a year or so (as did our 1994 3500 diesel pickup). I can't say enough bad about this engine, especially when the big sales pitch for purchasing the SUV with a diesel in the first place was longevity and resale value. Yeah, right!!! Local dealer and service has been SO very good with all these problems, but I still feel that GMC gave us VERY expensive lemon as on purchase, we had intended to keep this vehicle indefinitely. Air conditioning is not quite cold enough in 100 degree plus temperatures. Overall: If it wasn't for the repeated...

GMC Suburban: Cudos and Cons
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Smooth ride, good horsepower, lots of room, excellent stereo system, nice interior, excellent towing capacity and good safety features.
Cons: low gas mileage and a lot major repairs before 80000 miles such as new transmission, entire brake system, 2 alternators, power steering system and cooling system.
Overall: Generally, a good vehicle for blending style with utility features...

Best I ever owned.
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: The vehicle is reliable, versatile, comfortable, powerful.
Its highway driving range between fill-ups is over 600 miles -- more than almost anything else.
It carries at least 8 passengers including the driver -- mine carries up to 9 -- with plenty of room for luggage.
Cons: There is nothing I dislike about the vehicle.
I do recxognize that at some point I will want something that gets more mileage. But I will be happy for this vehicle to last as long as it can. Overall: I am very happy with this vehicle...

This is the Stallion of SUV's
Source: Cars.com

...Everyone needs to opt for the dual front and rear air/heat controls or you will have complaints from some occupant. The seats are excellent and the lumbar supports in the two front seats are fantastic. The fuel economy is about as advertised, I have driven the vehicle 50,000 miles since purchased and consistently get 13 mpg in town and 16 mpg on the highway. I have replaced the fuel pump and fuel sending unit at 130K miles(about $800), replaced the tires at the same time($600) and the alternator at 152K miles($100 for the part, $0 for labor, I did it myself). None of these seemed excessive...

Problem Truck
Source: MSN Autos

...Cons: It is a perfect example of GM building it as cheap as possible. I have replaced the power steering pump (3 times), rebuilt the transmission, replaced the AC line to the rear AC (it rubbed on the frame), and replaced the radiator. The radiator was hopelessly undersized for a vehicle with an engine and transmission cooler. The doors rattle on un-paved roads, and the bolts in the door hinges tend to work themselves loose. Currently the 4-wheel drive system is not working. Overall: I would give it two thumbs down. The newer ones are probably better, which wouldn't take much. I would...

So So Truck
Source: MSN Autos

...Good thing I bought the 100k warranty. Overall: This vehicle is tough to figure out. About $5k worth of repairs made on extended warranty between 80k and 100k miles. Since then, I have 150k now, this vehicle has been trouble free. Overall, a descent truck for being American built. Much better than the pile of trash that Ford puts out. Somewhat unrefined and lacking quality control. All the interior knobs and handles have broken over time. The brakes are grossly undersized for this massive vehicle...

Only one for me
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Comfort. I can never go back to a smaller vehicle.
On long drives it's comfortable for a bigger person to sit back and relax in.
Also, it provides a lot of room to hall things. At least once a month I put something in it that a regular car owner wouldn't be able to fit.
Cons: Fill ups. It takes a while to fill the baby up. Overall: I'm going to drive my sub till the wheels fall off and then I'm going to buy another one...
