Safe Reliable Transportation

..."This is the second one I have owned. My first was a 94 that had 137k.
Sold it with 189k three years ago. The car is still alive!
All I had to do was give it a tune up and change the trans fluid.
I just picked up the 96 that has 53k on it. Like my 94 the 4.6 is smooth and strong.
I average around 22 mpg mixed driving. The car is comfortable on long trips and rides quiet. Parts are cheap and plentiful so high mileage t-birds make a great first car."...

Unhappy Ford Owner
Source: Cars.com

..."I bought my T- Bird when it was new.It had a squeak in the front-end that no dealer was able to find and fix so for 14 years I have had to listen to a squeak.
Now both windows are broken and estimates to fix a window ranges from $200-$450.00 a piece to fix them.
My Odometer stopped working at 80,010 miles. I had to have the transmisson worked on when the car had less than 50,000 miles on it.
I only bought the car because my husband has always been a Ford man.
You can bet on it my next car will not be a Ford. I am considering either a Honda or a Toyota. Ford has not...

first car

..."this was the first car i've owned...so it may not matter too much what I think of it
!I bought this car in July of 2006. It's almost 12 years old and it's still running strong!
It's got some dings on the hood and some surface rust is starting to form around the doors,
but otherwise all i have done to it is replaced the rear running light (oops, my bad), the serpentine belt, and the alternator.
Otherwise, with a little routine maintenance, this car has had no major problems."...

Nothing but problems
Source: Cars.com

..."I bought this car used and since then have had nothing but problems.
Radiator leaked, oil leaked, break lights and turn signals went out randomly, sunroof didn't work and leaked.
I may have had a dud, but I will not be buying another Ford for a long time. The things I will miss about this car is the smooth ride, extremely fast power windows, and the handling around corners."...

fun!

..."This is a fun car. I love the retro-styling. I wish it had a few more interior amenities...but I love the simplicity of that at the same time."...

You just cannot go wrong with a thunderbird.
Source: Cars.com

...It handles very well on the road. The features such as outside temperature display, climate control with a digital readout, the ergonomics of the interior equipment such as the radio and temperature control are a plus. I first purchased my Thunderbird back in October 2005 and still have it to this day. My mileage is sitting at almost 164,000 miles and she's still purring like a kitten. The Thunderbird is one car that Mustang owners have overrated and I think that it's high time that Thunderbird owners should be recognized! BE LOUD, BE PROUD! I love my car and I don't see myself trading it in...
