Good But Looking It's Age And Rivals Are Slowly Moving The Game On.
Source: CarGurus

...Performance ain't great but good for a 1.6 diesel. It's got plenty of room, and handles well - the RS version didn't need many suspension upgrades.
Cheap road tax and company car tax sold the car to me and it doesn't look bad. Just wish Ford weren't so stingy on the equipment...

King

...Its best of the best in handling ... it shows what does handling mean and how does it matter in street racing and in drifting ...
thanks ford for making such a unique car full of enthusiasm ... waiting for the new rs :D...

Sporty Look And Feeling

...This ride is kinda nice and gives the driver a sporty feeling. Hard suspension, noisy engine. Personally, i like it and plan on driving it for a few years...

Sick Car
Source: CarGurus

...The good: Ford's Sync system gives the 2008 Focus SES one of the most sophisticated media and communications interfaces available.
Freeway mileage is impressive. The bad: The Focus' interior borders on being drab, and its stereo suffers from a few usability niggles...

Commuter Best Buy
Source: CarGurus

...I bought this as a commuter car -- and it's been super for that purpose.
It's actually got a lot of head and leg room, and I don't feel cramped the way I did in the Corolla or even the Civic.
I'd buy this car again in a heartbeat -- I've averaged between 32 and 38 mpg and while gas is cheap right now, it won't be for long...

New Ford Focus

...Ford Focus II facelifted model from 2008. 2,0 TDCI 110 HP with Powershift automatic transmission - Ford's answer to VW'a DSG transmission.
The cars drives very well but because of the low supsension and big tyres there are a lot of noise...

...good car good mpg just ugly...

Marvelous Handling And Well-equiped
Source: CarGurus

...The car is just astonishing! Marvelous handling, excellent acceleration granted by the Duratec 2.0 16V (147hp) engine.
But you have to pay the price: 6km/l (14mpg) city / 9km/l (21mpg) highway.
My is rather well equiped, since it is the Ghia version.
Power everything (except pedals), sunroof, ABS, Double Air Bag (it isn't mandatory here in Brazil), leather upholstery, MP3 CD with satellite controls beside steering wheel.
However, it is one generation behind the european Focus... We still have the MK 1 1/2...

2008 Ford Focus
Source: CarGurus

...The 2008 Ford Focus is sleek and full of technology; however, it lacks power and speed.
When taking off in the new 2008 Focus make sure to have plenty of room to make it up to speed.
What it lacks in power it makes up for in style and technology. The future is small compact gas saving high tec cars like the 2008 Ford Focus...

Its Got Some Cool Little Gadgets Like The Sync And Ambient Lighting. Its Pretty Neat
Source: CarGurus

...Its not fast but it sounds pretty good. It gets sick gas mileage and has some cool things to play around with like the sync system that reads text messages and calls people though the speakers.
It also has the 7 color ambient lighting. The interior is actually really sick but the outside exterior can get better...

Why should I also consider these?

The 2008 Ford Focus is up against tough competition.

The 2008 Honda Civic offers great variety, such as coupe and sedan body styles and multiple powertrains, including hybrid and natural gas.

The 2009 Toyota Corolla is especially attractive in its top trim level, though less so in the base trim.

The 2008 Focus also has to compete against the Mazda3, a perennial enthusiast favorite for its handling.

Comparatively, the Hyundai Elantra and Dodge Caliber trail this pack in overall refinement and style, and without a Focus SVT model, Ford has nothing to line up against the 285-horsepower Caliber SRT4.

2004 Honda Civic Classic
2009 Toyota Corolla
The 2009 Toyota Corolla has a split personality: the utilitarian base car and the slightly edgy, expensive Corolla XRS.

2008 Hyundai Elantra
The 2008 Hyundai Elantra doesn’t have a lot of personality, but it’s the undeniable practical choice.

2008 Mazda MAZDA3
The 2008 Mazda 3 is easily one of the best compact cars for sale in the United States.

2008 Dodge Caliber
The Caliber has a very practical layout and quite a few innovative features to get excited about, but it's lacking in driving enjoyment or refinement--even compared to its low-priced competition.
