01 Sport Trac

...I have the use a a five passenger vehicle along with the ability to haul what I need. Tows great and handling is perfect. No roll or sloppiness. This model year is a bit heavy on the gas usage, but I understand that was taken care of the next year. I would recommend and buy this truck again and again. There is not a single negative that I can think of with this truck. Just drive one and see. So dependable that it is scary. This is my first six-cylinder vehicle (I am a V-8 junkie) and I am impressed."...

It's most dependable.
Source: Cars.com

..."Overal it's very dependable vehicle I have owned. When I put it in 4 Wheel drive look out it goes through anything and everything.
That's the bigest feature I like about it. The feature
I don't like is when I start the vehicle it kills periodically and have had it diagnosed several times and no luck in find what it was from Ford dealership.
lots of little squeeks with center counsel."...

Good Sport!

...I hardly ever use them. With the rear seats folded, the flat area in the back is almost queenbed sized.Short wheel base makes it less stable on the freeway, yet it can doU-turns in most streets, parking is a joy. Tight turning andover-assisted steering makes high speed sharp turns dangerous, especially if the brakes are applied at the same time. The engine hasgreat torque for start-ups and high speed passing. It is speed limitedat 100mph. It has less wind/road noise than an Escape! 18mpg on theaverage and a small fuel tank gives it only a 250+ mile range.Nothing broke in 6 years and 80K miles...

Did not last
Source: Cars.com

..."The SportTrac is a decent vehicle and served me well over a five year period.
The truck's versatility and good mix of luxury and ruggedness allowed it to handle most situations well.
However, my biggest issue with the truck came at 95,000 miles when the automatic transmission ceased to function.
The truck was well maintained, so the failure was quite a surprise. After much research, and expense, I found that this was common among these trucks."...

Great Truck
Source: Cars.com

..."This is a great truck, It's strong and powerful. I
had to put some money into it due to poor maintainence
from the prior owner and dealership but now that I have it up to date there is nothing wrong with and it will last you a life time if the truck is well taken care of.
Yeah is low on gas milage but remember that this is a SUV. This truck is good for fisherman's it good for towing your boat and great to manage on or around the lake boat ramps."...

would never make the mistake of purchasing againTh
Source: Cars.com

..."This vehicle is poor on gas mileage and even poorer on holding the road, no matter what the weather.
So you really need to be on your toes when you are driving this so it doesnt drive you. Comfort was good as was cargo area."...
