Best SUV everSource: Cars.com...I found my '05 escape limited and fell in love with it. Love the leather interior, the reverse warning system. It handles like a dream. Not big and bulky like a full size suv more like a tall car. Very roomy and comfortable. This is my first ford, I usually buy imports but by far one of the best vehicles I have every owned. Will be keeping this until a new body style comes out for the escape and then I will buy another one. If you are looking for a great compact suv then this is the one for you. Can't wait for the snow. Bring it on, me and my escape are ready. :)"... |

Our EscapeSource: MSN Autos...There really is much we don't like. It is great little vehicle and will most likely get another when the time comes. Cons: Seats could be a little more comfy Overall: This was a one owner vehicle with mostly highway miles. We purchased it with a 129K on it and people who look at it and drive with us can't believe it has that many miles. Our son drives it back and forth to college and it is performing well. We have only had it a few months and are pushing 135k right now. My son has informed me that when the time comes to upgrade he wants the Escape. Great mileage, good size, fun to drive, way... |

Great buySource: Cars.com...I have taken it off roading and it felt like I was on a road with a few bumps, even though it was on back roads and fields in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. My fuel efficiency right now is about 25.5 miles per gallon. After going on a few trips with me in mine, a couple of my friends went out and got one for themselves. No complaints from them on thier Escape purchases yet. Mine has been used for commuting, family drives, towing, off-roading, and even helping a friend move. The back seats fold down completely flat and created an area about 6' long by 4' wide by 3' high. Like having a pickup... |

Luxury SUV for Little MoneySource: Cars.com...It's very comfortable seating, stylish and has great features in the Limited Edition. I didn't want anything other than the limited because of the additional features it offered such as leather seats, "bun warmers", chrome detailing, ambience interior lighting, fog lights, active sync for hands free phone operation, exterior pin striping, sun roof, and more. I love having the audio controls on the steering wheel. That's a great feature. All the luxuries that normally come with a higher priced vehicle. It rides smooth and has a lot of get up when on the freeway. Never thought I'd like the... |

Very little in life comes for free, which makes us appreciate paying less for something all the more. A drop in price of $100 certainly makes Ford's SYNC hands-free, in-car... August 1, 2011 by Antony Ingram
Don't get penned in by the Escape's conservative look; it competes head-on with a variety of compact crossovers, some of which are sleek and rakish.
One of those is the Nissan Rogue.
The Rogue doesn't even pretend to be tough or off-road-worthy; it's a tall wagon, with space for five, good ride quality, and a fuel-efficient four-cylinder powertrain.
The Hyundai Tucson looks a little more carlike than the Escape, but it's one of the least refined in the group; it's due for a complete redesign later this year.
The Honda CR-V is one of our all-time favorites, if you only look at the driving experience, but some people have a hard time getting past the SUV's styling and the lack of optional V-6 power.
Subaru's Forester became significantly larger for 2009, and it's now a roomier alternative to the Escape, with a nice, smooth ride and responsive handling.
Finally, the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox has been redesigned and is now a much better vehicle than before, with a vastly improved interior, plus a smooth, economical four-cylinder base engine and six-speed automatic transmission.
