where is the termometer?
Source: Cars.com

...My main complaint is that there is no external temperature thermometer reading. REALLY!!! To me that is very basic in a car. The escape has one. The sales person told me well you have SYNC so you can get your temperature anytime you want. YEAH, maybe when its working...which is not all the time. The temperature isnt always acurate either. This morning when I left it was raining, so i engaged SYNC and it told me my towns weather at 6:22 am it is mostly sunny and 73 degrees. OH, i DONT THINK SO. This may seem like a small item to someone but i like to know especially when its about freezing as...

Buy this car for life.

...Power tilt steering wheel, self closing doors, heated seats, climate control, etc. Drives well, reliable and still very stylish. Definately the peak of Acura Luxury. Since this car their luxury appeal has steadily decreased. Cons: Insanely high price of oem parts and very little aftermarket support. Tranny shifts rough (reliable tranny but weak tranny mounts). Overall: When anyone says they're looking for a reliable used car. I always recommend the Legend and the Lexus LS400. The Legend definately has the styling edge... and ofcourse the name 'Legend'...

Love my Edge!

..."I bought my Edge in Feb/March 2009 and I love it! I have the orange (Illini orange, not UT orange) which makes it stand out in the crowd...

Is ok if you testdrive other vehicles first.
Source: Cars.com

..."Looks nice, handles well, engine is peppy, feels more like a large station wagon than a crossover.
The interior is cheap clothe which tears easily and if you have pets, good luck trying to get the fur out.
the front seats are unusually low in comparison to the window, if you are used to leaning your arm on the edge of the door forget it.
The arm rests have a leather pad which is comfortable enough.
Overall, I would have preferred the 2010 Ford Escape or Edge as the prices were comparable by the time the extras were added to make the car drivable."...

good looking car
Source: Cars.com

...The seats are hard and uncomfortable, the Navigation complicated to use. On the highway smooth ride, disappointing gas mileage in town around 15 maybe 17 with being careful with the pedal. At 40k Miles the AC broke, first the evaporator, a day later the compressor, Chrysler wants $ 2.000, found a place who "only" burned me a $ 1.250 whole in my wallet. They told me a very common problem at around 40k miles, so check out the the AC before buy used or purchase a extended warranty. Chrysler was not willing to help out with the repair cost even the car was 1 month and 4.000 miles out of warranty...

Reliable all-around sedan

...and a somewhat large, out-of-warranty AC repair for which Honda picked-up the parts charge (about 4.5 years old). Overall, however, I'd say the cost of ownership has been cheap. Oil changes with synthetic every 10K is about all I do nowadays. Performance-wise, it's no BMW, but it's acceptable. It is reliable and gets good gas mileage. After 10 years, I'm due for a new ride but can't justify that expense when this car keeps running without a hitch. I just put on a set of Michelin Hydro-Edge tires, and the ride is noticeably more quiet, and the handling and wet traction much improved (over...

Nice vehicle
Source: Cars.com

..."I bought my Edge (SEL AWD) as a certified used car in the summer of 2008.
As a truck lover (I've had 4 ranging from a Chevy S-10 to a Dodge RAM Quad Cab), I knew downsizing to a CUV would be an adjustment, but I'm quite happy with the Edge.
If money was less of an issue, I would've loved to have purchased a Lincoln MKX (the Edge's upscale sister),
but I must admit that my Edge SEL is well-equipped with creature comforts that make it a good value...

Still Trying to Decide....
Source: Cars.com

..."I purchased my Edge May 2008. With 3800 miles it went to the shop for the first time for check engine light related to cam sensor codes.
Now in shop again with check engine light related to same thing.
Dealership is replacing parts as I write this review.
Terrible gas mileage (I'm getting about 10 mpg in town). I love my Edge but the above is tainting my opinion with 4,700 miles on it. I'll be writing again with results. Thank you."...

Getting a Word in Edge-wise
Source: Edmunds

...Took delivery of my '08 Edge AWD Limited on 10 Nov 2007, (approx.
three weeks after placing an order for it with the dealership), and have really been enjoying the ride since.
Loaded with just about every option, including many of the Ford accessories.
Good looks (in Redfire Metallic & 20" chromed wheels), good features (SYNC, NAV, SIRIUS), and a good time driving it around.
Just spun past 750 miles on the odometer so just getting started, but it's everything I expected so far (&more). A real "head turner" here in my town!...

Why should I also consider these?

Unlike most of its similar-size competitors, the 2010 Ford Edge doesn't have an available third row of seating.

But its interior is a more comfortable place for four (or up to five) than several of its competitors, especially the Murano and Tribeca.

The slight interior improvements and new SYNC system introduced on the '08 Edge help make the Ford more competitive against top peers such as the Highlander.

Relative to the Edge, the Tribeca and CX-9 are a little sportier on the road, with a slightly firmer suspension setting and crisper handling, while the Highlander and Veracruz have styling that's less exciting and possibly less offensive.

Premium fuel is recommended for several of the Edge's competitors, but cheaper 87-octane fuel is fine for the Edge.

The Mazda CX-9 is a rival to the Edge, which has a slightly sportier character, but the two share mechanical underpinnings.

2009 Nissan Murano
The 2009 Nissan Murano combines good handling and a recognizable style with a much more sophisticated interior.

2008 Hyundai Veracruz
Hyundai’s most expensive model may not quite be a Lexus, but it’s impressive in its own right.

2008 Mazda CX-9
The 2008 Mazda CX-9 may be the best-driving full-size seven-passenger crossover out there. It is certainly one of the best looking and appointed.

2008 Subaru Tribeca
The 2008 Subaru Tribeca is mainstream now, in style and performance.

2008 Toyota Highlander
Most Americans prefer mushy white bread, and the 2008 Toyota Highlander is a larger, high-quality "loaf" that will satisfy most every consumer.
