Run, Run Fast, Run to a Nissan, Toyota, or Honda dealer.Source: MSN Autos...Everything shakes and shimmies if you so much as look at it. 6 Speed Automatic Transmission is a joke. Gears 2 and 3 seem to have the exact same ratio, and it takes an astonishing 3 shifts to hit 60. The "Manual" feature also seems to be silently mocking you as it will continue to display the gear you select even though it has obviously changed gears on its own. Using the brakes is like putting your foot in a bowl of oatmeal. It has this nifty green interior lighting, but no light under the hood, which was NOT helpful when checking out the strange noise in the dark.. More gaps in the bodywork... |

Durable and ReliableSource: MSN Autos...It is used as a commuter car (15K / year) now and now has 170,000 miles with no major repairs. The biggest issue I have had outside of occational maintenance was fixing a bit of rust in the body and trans cover (front drivers wheel - a common problem) - and needed to re-flash the transmission computer to make the shifting smoother (part of standard maint). I continue to be surprised every day as to how well this car still runs - still getting 22MPG on the highway with a 3.3L engine. Cons: Rust issue are few - but exist in this car. Overall: Exceptionally happy with the durability and quality... |

grand caravanSource: Cars.com...on it and i change and monitor my oil and it is using a quart every thousand miles and i have an extended warranty and the powertrain warranty and talked with chrysler and their standards are 1 quart every thousand miles under 50,000 =and 1 quart every 750 miles as normal which we all know is B.S. and way to much oil and they say it is fine and wont fix anything. I'm not the only one with this issue and this is the quality chrysler is proud to put their name on. I like everything else but will not buy another chrysler if this is what they consider excellent quality.."... |

Versatile and economical transportation.Source: MSN Autos...Cruises with ease down the highway. Body holding up well. Cons: Headliner loose. Needs misc minor repairs but just went over 200,000 miles. Smokes a little. 3.0 engine with the 3 speed transmission very reliable but leak prone. Would not have with 4 speed as to many problems. Overall: Excellent car for every use. Repair cost about $500 annual. Cheap and fuel efficient compared to any new car for same purposes. Worth staying with in this economy!!! Bought for $700 and Have another $700 in repairs. Can't replace for the little it takes to keep it going. Wife loves it. A lot of good words for a... |

The 2009 Ford Flex is a different take on the traditional minivan.
With its MINI-esque styling and seven-passenger interior, this might be a Ford worth considering if you don't fall in love with the Grand Caravan.
If value is your biggest attractor, check out the Hyundai Entourage.
It does not offer everything the Dodge does, but the Entourage may have enough for you.
If you're not sure you need all the room found in the 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan, check out the Mazda5.
It's sportier and more fun to drive than the Dodge.
Don't even think of asking for Stow 'n Go seats or Sirius TV at a Honda or Toyota dealership.
Dodge's price point is significantly lower than either the Honda's or Toyota's, and the Grand Caravan offers more variety in terms of powertrains and available features than either competitor.
And if you drive the 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan back to back with a Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna, you'll likely feel some differences in refinement; the Dodge doesn't quite have the level of polish that the Honda and Toyota do.
