Rear-drive competitors are few and far between for the value-priced Chrysler 300.
The Hyundai Genesis weighs in with its Infiniti-like silhouette and its own rippling V-8, and some high-dollar execution in its cabin.
Other pleasing big American sedans include the Buick LaCrosse, which has a more pinched interior than the 300, but a little more expressive range in its styling--maybe.
The Ford Taurus is the blocky tackler of the group, with optional all-wheel drive and a supercharged SHO edition turning in near-HEMI performance numbers; it too's a bit crowded in back, and surprisingly, a little cramped in the front thanks to a wide console.
