Bill's Tracker Review
Source: CarGurus

...Not only did it look good, it drove great, and it had the best gas mileage of any SUV on the market at the time.
It had all the features of a functionable SUV, yet all the fun of a sports car, especially with the top down. The perfect car to take to the beach...

99 chevy tracker rusted subframe !!!
Source: Edmunds

...I have had good luck with GM car and trucks until now, I had bought a 99 Chevy tracker with low mileage for my son, who is going to collage.
He came home for the weekend and notified me that his truck was pulling to the right and there was a clunking sound in the front end.
To my surprise The front sub-frame had rusted and broke.
Causing the truck to pull hard to the right. I had called GM to see if there was a recall and was told NO.
I would have to pay out of pocket. I was very disappointed, My family has been a loyal GM follower even though I work for Chrysler.
I...

This Suv Will Run Forever As Long As You Preform Regular Maintance.
Source: CarGurus

...i have owned this vehical for about a year and ahalf.
when i bought it it had a small oil leak from the pan.
not a problem right?... wrong!!!replacing the oil pan is a pain in the gasket.
other than that though it is a decent vehical. small yet roomie and can fit on most smaller trails that other suv's can't.
good on gas being a 4cyl. and yet it still has power enough to get to the top of some unfavorable hills...

Drive at Your Own Risk
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: convertable good on gas seat goes down for big back storage Cons: breaks lock up and I slide all the time,
rain or shine Plastic interior damages easy clutch is off and won't allow the car to start unless the clutch is in the right position...no one can start it when I Valet park!
Overall: Like the look and the ability to take the top off with ease.
It's good for transporting sports equipment or dogs. The problems it has are very scary...the breaks are a big deal and they have not been reliable from the beginning...

Best Offroad Vehicle For The Price!
Source: CarGurus

...great off road. bought with 80K on the engine. only problem is that it doesn't accelerate as well with the A/C on.
cheap to repair. super fun to drive. tight suspension.
mechanic told me the suspension is similar to a land rover.
prefer it to my friends wrangler. it gets great mpg.
2.0 liter 4 banger has no problem getting to speed on highway.
has a power switch for an extra boost of speed when you need it. can tow up to 1000lbs. (not bad for a car that weighs nearly the same anount!!!)...

Cute little cheap car
Source: MSN Autos

...The guy I got it from claims it has 273,000 miles on it (although the odometer only goes to 99,999 and turned over twice) and says the engine doesn't use very much oil at all - impressive! Cons: I've read many reviews on this car and it seems many people complain of a lack of power. I found a reviewer that put headers and a turbo on the exhaust side and claimed a significant increase in power and fuel economy. To the non-mechanic, keep in mind that things wear out and need to be replace on any car (tires, brakes, ect.). I've also read reviews of people saying it gets thrown around in the...
